Privacy First

Sink It has been built with a privacy first approach.

- All the blocking happens on your device with literally ZERO data being recorded or sent back to be data mined.
- We don't keep usage data like the count of how many popups and banners it has blocked or links it has redirected.
- We don't even come with basic app analytics or telemetry to keep track of how many times you've opened or use the app.
- It does check whether you have dark mode on or not so it can show you the correct tutorial video. (I hate opening a bright video on dark mode as much as you.)

If you're a security researcher, feel free to poke around to make sure the app isn't up to anything funky.

Make the "MODERN" Reddit Experience Usable

Sink It for Reddit de-clutters and removes most “omfg please use our app” banners and buttons as well as the annoying login popups from Reddit in addition to removing advertisements.

Reddit, wants me, and by extension you, to use their apps to consume content. The recent pricing changes to their API is an obvious sign of that.

Harder for us to block ads and much easier for them to scoop up your data, right? To further that agenda, simply browsing their sites on Safari now means we’re inundated with, well, waves of crap.

It might be a modal covering half the screen with links to the App Store, an immediate popup asking you to login, or a header screaming “the app is 10x better”. Bottomline: it has to go. All of it.

Too many updates …

But, developer seems not to care to do QA to ensure the new versions actually work and not breaking the entire extension! Wasted money to support developer! Deleted!

Handy little utility

Ever since Apollo's demise, I've been turning down my use of reddit, but the occasional time I need to check something, this extension makes it much easier and more tolerable. Great little app and runs well. Nice that it syncs across platforms too. Interested to see what is in store for the Mac version, as the loss of RES on safari has been a a hamper on desktop for a while.

A 100% Must!

Makes the Reddit Web App actually useable (and probably even better than the App Store version). In addition, it also adds cool quality of life features.

Too many bugs

If it was a little more stable it would be a great app. As it stands, it interferes too much with my experience. - Issues with loading requiring an entire restart of Safari (issue gone after this app was removed). - Issue with expanding comment threads (expanded comment threads basically just disappear forever after tapped) These issues alone make it unusable :(

App is nice

This app is nice and works, but if possible, can you develop a way so I can use it on other web browsers. Wanting to use this for duck duck go specifically

Makes Reddit usable.

The only reason I can use Reddit at all, without Apollo. Reddit, take note and be ashamed with yourselves.

Makes Reddit a decent experience again!

Reddit really messed up by forcing out the 3rd party apps. But SinkIt makes it a whole lot better: Reddit is significantly easier to parse, finding comment replies and following up on posts is smooth and easy. No more sponsored posts cluttering up the feed! Thank you!!

Fantastic extension

This extension makes browsing the mobile website feel so good. All the perfect additions like remembering feed position and coloured comments and more. Love it!

I had low hopes on what a safari extension could do for an iphone but this definitely was a pleasant surprise. Very well done!
