Was great until I paid for the subscription. The free version worked fine but I decided to see what the subscription was like. Now that I upgraded, it will not let me turn on the Safe For Me filter and nothing will load when I search. This feels like such a scam and I am incredibly disappointed.
Was Great with Potential, But Now….
This app has always been nothing but potential. In efforts to monetize it, it’s become increasingly as and decreasingly useful. Such a shame because it used to feel so helpful to folks who needed it.
App not working
This app hasn’t worked in a couple months. What a bummer as it was awesome for a while, but now useless and I paid for the annual subscription!
Too Many Bugs
App doesn’t work correctly. It only lets me save to my “Favorites” and won’t let me mark things as “Daily Use” or “Had a Reaction”, so pretty useless app.
What happened?
Nothing works in the app. Cant look up any products. What happened?
Paying the membership in hopes of it getting better
I’ve been using this app for a few years now. Unfortunately, most of the options listed in line with my allergies are either no longer available and/or there are only a few options in their database to chose from. I’m hoping they will update their products and remove ones that are no longer on the market. It’s a tall task but it is what they were supposed to be taking on, right?
App not working for months
App is not functional at all. Hasn’t worked in months; just blank. I paid for the subscription, so I’m rather annoyed about this.
Code and search not working, support vanished after I paid
I’m not a person who writes 1 star reviews lightly, but I have been pretty baffled by how frustrating this experience ended up being. I had high hopes for this site, but I’ve had issues since day 1.
The “personal allergy code” doesn’t actually appear to be truly personalized (at least not for my allergies). I was told my code (for sodium benzoate) automatically included fragrances but could be modified to remove the extra things it was filtering out and I said yes, I ONLY needed that ingredient filtered. Some stuff is now marked safe but there are still a wide variety of ingredients that have nothing to do with my allergies being marked not safe for me?? (Agave? Salicylic acid? Neither of these are alternate forms of sodium benzoate!)
On top of that, search DOES NOT WORK. I can go directly to a product page (via a google search) and see that a product is “safe for me” yet it won’t appear in my search results on the site or in the category it belongs to.
Between this and all the extra ingredients being excluded from my results, the site is basically useless. I can barely find any products.
During my free trial, support was responsive (though I had to send a few messages multiple times) and I was told my issues were being looked into. A week later (once my free trial ended) I asked for an update and got no reply. Another week passed, and another.
It has now been AN ENTIRE MONTH with no reply, despite my sending multiple messages using the contact form, the support email, even commenting on the IG page. It feels like they just ghosted me once my card was charged. I’ve paid for a year’s sub for a service I apparently can’t use and can’t get ANY help with.
I tried to be patient and understanding, but this is ridiculous. At this point I’ve just assumed my issues won’t be fixed and tried asking for a refund on my subscription, but of course can’t get a reply on that either. At this point I honestly wonder if I’ve just been scammed. Or at the very least, something is preventing them from receiving and/or replying to customer emails, which is just totally unacceptable for a paid service, especially when customers encounter significant bugs from the start.
It has been stressful enough trying to replace most of the products I own due to a severe allergy, and this app that was supposed to make it easier instead caused additional stress. I wanted so badly for this to work out but as-is I do not recommend it.
Isn’t working
I use to use this app often and though it didn’t have all the products, it had most standard items. Well it seems it no longer works? App is blank and there are no updates…
Stopped working
I relied on this and it completely stopped working. My dermatologist switched from ACDS to this. It worked fine for awhile, but now I can’t search for anything, apply filters and no products are showing up at all. I even updated, but nothing was fixed. I also don’t understand the subscription model, seems ways too pricey. Monthly subscription really add up.
