Slatable has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is £37.65.
Whilst this app has many great features, they can be unreliable at the worst times. Today I recorded the audio for a short scene and it was fine when I played it and during the video recording. But when I played the take, the recorded video was fading in and out. Takes were unusable. After three takes like that, the audio was muted completely when I tried to record a new take. Totally unexpected and since it’s such a critical feature for times when there is no reader available, something that we cannot afford to go wrong. Please fix!!
Update broke it
Was decent now any attempts to record audio for a take sound fine until after filming when the pre-recorded audio becomes buggy and breaks and completely trashes any take. Used to work fine.
My account has been deleted!
I have been using this app for well over a year possibly 2 paid for the Pro version and have recommended to everyone! But since this update I cannot log in - saying I don’t exist or my account has been deleted! When I try to get a help ticket I get a message saying “ sorry you have been restricted from this page” please help!!! This is very worrying as all my tapes are on your app!!!
Update breaks app
Bought the professional version but the update has now made it useless. I now have to pay a subscription to access any of the original features.

Issues even though I upgraded to Pro version
So I thought this was going to be a brilliant tool, to submit self tapes…. Every time I have tried to use it, it freezes on me and won’t allow me to edit my videos. You can’t change the order if you want to link, two or more takes.
I have tried to get support, but even their system to raise a ticket for help, is flawed! So you can’t even report your issues!!!!!
I paid for the pro version thinking it would be worth the money…. I can’t even contact anyone via the app to resolve anything!!! Wasted money…. Unless they contact me via this negative review I will be requesting a refund from Apple. Shame as this was such a promising app…
Can’t stop subscription!
Makes it near I’m-ossicle to stop paying them money. Dishonest and rubbish from them.
Unreliable, broken and frustrating
So, when Slatable actually works without bugging out, it’s great.
Unfortunately that’s less than 50% of the time.
I sprung for the paid version, and wasted money. Don’t make the same mistake.
I upload my info. As opposed to displaying the agent’s name on the title card that I’ve entered, it shows the phrase “Agent Name Agent Email Agent Number”
Below that “Manager Name Manager Email Manager Number”
So, it’s impossible to include your representation in your title cards.
Oh, and half the time instead of rendering, the video just doesn’t, and the only way to fix this is to uninstall and reinstall the app, and re-enter all your information.
Good luck if you’ve got to turn something around in a hurry.

Problems compiling tape on at the end of process with iPhone 11 Pro Max
I have been using this app for over a year and recommending it to students (I teach sceeen acting) for sled tapes. I am an actor and since I moved from an iPhone 7 to 11 pro Max I have twice had problems with compiling the tape at the end. It seems to get stuck on the wait a few more seconds and your tape will be ready and doesn’t ever finish the tape to deliver it to the camera app. I have lost good takes as the only work around is to delete the app completely and the reinstall it. When it happened the first time I just thought it was a one off glitch but then it happened again. Can you check there isn’t a bug with the newer iPhones?
Terrible app
I would tell actors to stay away from useless self tape apps like this, the app tells me to rotate my phone and nothing happens, waste of time and effort.

It’s a really good app but the only problems I had with it was u can only shoot landscape, you can’t take pics and to get everything you have to pay to get the upgrade
