Terrible app with unfriendly user interface! Almost weekly Slate + members must continually sign in - they want your funding but don’t make it easy

App serves ads that play loud music

Steve114114 on

Switzerland

Even if the phone is set to set this app allows advertisers to play loud music when the add hidden from view. Music cant be stopped. Makes App useless because you never know when it will start blaring music. I realise this lies on the advertiser but also lies on the slate app and slate editors who dont provide away to prevent this.

My neck hurts. Why no landscape mode?

bob.os on

Longtime Slate Plus member here. You’ve got to be kidding? On the iPad this app can’t rotate to landscape mode? I use my iPad Pro ~90% on the Magic Keyboard and in landscape. Hopefully this is all a big mistake. I’m going to go put a hot compress on my neck.

Like the content ipad app is poor

Ruthykr on

I just would like to read the content horizontally on my ipad. It’s very frustrating because I think it’s built for the iphone. Also, would like to be able to control the appearance - size of font etc. You can do better, it’s 2024!
