Subscription fee city
There’s almost no functionality to this app except to enter everything manually without paying money to this app. You have to subscribe to the app for a monthly or yearly fee to get the ability to scan your receipts, otherwise you only get the ability to enter things in a form. Waste of time.
Perfect for Business Travel
I have been using the Smart Receipts app for years. It is a simple and efficient layout, and the exported PDFs are easy read and understand.
Update
Im so annoyed by this update. I do NOT WANT TO PRE SCAN ANYTHING JUST LET ME INPUT IT MANUALLY. Ugh. The app was JUST FINE.
Used to be great
I bought the premium version last year (which was around $30) and now they have new premium versions. So all I spent on has essentially gone out in the window as I have ads on my app again. Happy to update my review if the issue is resolved.
Tracks more than receipts
I’ve had this for a while and have been impressed at how useful it was. I took photographs of my receipts or of the gas pump to documents for expense reports. A new update has made it impossible for me to use though: I used to be able to limit access to my photos so the app only has access to the photos I need for the reports. But now it won’t work unless it has full access to my photos. As a matter of privacy I don’t have any of my apps have full access to my photos (not even FB or IG) because it doesn’t need to have access to photos of my kids. As such, this is being offloaded and replaced with something else. It’s a shame.
Working great!
It’s a simple, clean app that works great. The updated interface is working well & looks good. I really like the auto picture/cropping feature that has been added. My only suggestion for the dev would be, switch the qwerty keyboard to the number keypad when entering amounts manually, if possible.
Love this app
I love this app it keeps track of this report and it’s free! A little of annoying ads but other than that I like it. No need to buy subscription.
App Doesn’t Work
At some point this app stopped letting me export CSV files. The app is unresponsive when I try to generate the report, I have deleted and re-downloaded it several times with no improvement. Very frustrating seeing as I pay for this service!
Great value
I have been through several receipt apps and this one ticks most of the boxes. To me the four most important features I need are: 1. Accurate parsing of receipt data. 2. Ability to export to a spreadsheet format. 3. Customization of categories. 4. Speed and ease of use. Version 5 nails them all!
