No Customer Support - I’m Done
Have had trouble with getting the plate to connect with the app, along with subscription issues. At least in my case, I have sent several emails and left a voicemail on their supposed customer support line and received no contact back from either attempt. Like another review left here, guess I’ll need to change my credit card on file because there isn’t a way to do it through the app or website, to spite claims to the contrary. A shame, because it was being used until I started having these problems.
Update
I’m still giving 3 stars because of my great experiences with the owner helping me out. But this is what, a year and a half later? Give or take… I decided to give the app a try today for the first time since I first got it. I figured the glitches should be worked out. So far it’s still unusable. I input my food and it tracked everything to the previous day. I tried to copy it to today, nothing happens. Can’t delete, nothing. I also find it really hard to believe, compared to all the other apps I’ve used, that the health kit integration is accurate. It’s giving me way too many calories back in credit. I really wanted to like this, but from what I can tell this shouldn’t have been released at all. It’s too far from ready. A beta is one thing, but this is years now since their initial release.

The wrong date still shows up for meal input. Macros counting does not work. And it doesn’t add nutrients to HealthKit.

Awful! Scam do not buy
This is a complete scam, I’m convinced the reviews must be fake. There is no customer service, I am unable to use the app, no way to cancel, no response from the email or phone that goes straight to VM, no response to my BBB complaint. I’m going to have to issue a fraud alert and change my cc info now as a last resort to keep them from charging me every month.
Good idea, needs more
I was very excited about this. The idea seems great but the app is lacking in options compared to other food trackers. No hydration tracking. When I add a food in manually or by barcode scan I can’t pick to measure by g or oz instead of the “serving size” listed - example - I added in frozen vegetables. I ate the whole pack which says about 4 servings, I know how many grams it was but that it wasn’t 4 full servings, but I can’t switch from measuring the 2/3 cup serving to a g or oz or anything. That would be helpful where I could choose how much to put in by something other then just the serving size on the packet.

Have been using this for about a month now. Love it. The app is easy to use and when i had a question customer service responded quickly. Highly recommend it.
Very disappointed in SmartPlate
The app is very limited you can’t make adjustments once you enter food or meals, you can go back a day in case you forgot to enter a meal. I can’t believe I paid $300.00 for a plate scale 18 months of an app that is not premium yet. I wish I had done more research but all the reviews were 4-5 stars. Makes you wonder if they are real. The feedback on the app does not work. No contact info.

The SmartPlate allows you to think about each meal,actual calories ,and portions .It is a great tool to learn how to eat better and help you achieve your goals.The company truly cares about their customers and responds quickly to any questions/concerns .I highly recommend.

I like it. Instead of manually logging every bite, I track the carbs, fats, proteins (and calories too) of my meals with a photo. Super easy! more accurate than other apps.
