I’ve been using songbook for years! Bring a musician doing solo gigs, I need a tool that I can have while performing that is easy and flexible and songbook is just that. You can edit songs, modify chords, add comments, etc. songbook works great for a performing musician…I highly recommend it!

I play in multiple bands mostly covers. We share set lists and songs making our own arrangements and I write all my originals and others that I record on. I fix all songs that are wrong on line and add times and BPMs. We share playlists and arrangements. My only suggestion is when you share a pdf, for printing, I wish there was a way to add all the details besides the keys and titles(times, bpm, notes), then it would be 5 stars. Tom Morse

My bands and I cannot live without Songbook. Is the easiest way for us to coworkers on music and ensure we’re all on the same page. It’s awesome.

Update** developers continue to roll out updates, adding many nice features. I now have over 3000 songs in my library and I use the nearly daily. Probably my favorite app ever. Update** Love the new features in 3.9.3 Being able to see categories when in "all songs" view is VERY HELPFUL to me. Also appreciate displaying keys when sharing playlists. Thx! A few reviewers have given this poor reviews which I feel are undeserved. I have used the App for over 3 years both professionally (I'm in 2 bands) and personally (I use it at church and home). I have over 2000 songs in my personal collection. I use this app multiple times every day. I have never had the problems described by these new users writing reviews. Many of my songs were originally imported from the internet - but you soon learn to to edit them as they're often at least partially incorrect. But that's not this apps fault. In one of my bands we are all "power users" of this app. We use features like a shared Dropbox account, links to mp3s, metronome, auto scrolling and we sync all our iPads together on stage so we stay together. Never had a glitch with this app at all. Lots of features are available - it just takes time to learn to use them. I have the app on my iPhone, iPad and I also have the Mac version. I use the iPad for performances - but the other versions allow me the flexibility to add a song anywhere any time. I used to keep all devices song database in sync by emailing songs to myself and opening them in each device - but eventually I got a Dropbox account and that simplified things even more. Again - no problems. I've never had anything deleted or dropped. Actually you have to go through a 2 step process to delete stuff (unless you trash your Dropbox account). Which you should have backed up anyway. App is well supported by the Dev. Questions get answered within 48 hrs. New releases require you to relink to Dropbox if you're using that feature. Nothing catastrophic if you don't do that immediately though. Your song database continues to exist on each device but it won't sync changes until you relink everything. Don't let uninformed reviews keep you from getting the best app of its type. Get this app and LEARN TO USE IT. You will not regret it

Great app

This is the greatest tool I have found for organizing and tabbing out my music. I truly love this app. I started with the android version, but eventually went to the IPad. I think, without a doubt, the IPad version is much more user friendly. The only glitch I have found after using this app for nearly ten years is this: When you are setting the scrolling speed for a song and you save it, it changes the saved settings for other song settings. I have close to 500 songs in my book, and it can be annoying to pull up a song for a gig or for church only to find it going at the wrong speed setting, and I have to reset it. I always write the speed I have a song set on at the top of the song page, so I can see when the app has changed it to a song speed I just set for the most resent song I've added. I would sure love to know how to correct this. Other than that I still give this app 5stars.

Awesome song app

I am a performing musician. I play as a solo artist and sometimes with a group. I started using an iPad for my songs back in 2010. When songbook came out, I quickly switch and have never had regrets. I have over 2,000 songs on my app. I can create and put the songs into categories, genres, songs to practice, songs to learn… I required an app to have categories for songs, able to search by song title or by artist easily. When playing with a group, I can sync all iPads and every musician has the same song up at the same time with very little effort. For me, as a musician, Songbook has made my performances easy and organized. I love Songbook!

Concerned about number of songs?

I play piano and sing with several other artist in the Georgetown area and as a result, have 1675 songs to date in my Songbook and i used to be concerned that it might lick up after a thousand songs but not such problem!!! I use the Category for artist and the Tabs for year of release….. works like a champ… best $ I’v’ve spent musically speaking!!!

Coolest Ever!

Love this app. Been using it for years and have my whole repertoire enshrined on this coolest ever app. And when I submit a question, I get a very quick response from the big man himself. Gives me confidence that the app is here to stay.
