Speech Central AI Voice Reader

Ticks all the boxes that I need: narrator-like AI voices for non-English; support ePub ebooks; ability to play other music app with lower volume (thoughtful). However, as a heavy Vietnamese/Chinese reader I would say your ebook functionalities is still far behind other popular ebook reader apps. Lots of my ebooks fail to have font rendered correctly. Also the ebook navigation is not very user friendly and unnecessarily slow. If you could make those work, I will switch my main phone to iPhone in a heartbeat lol. Update: can you add the pitch setting for google voice please, appreciate it, awesome app.

This is a great app on the iOS and MacOS but the unique CarPlay option needs some more love

I’m unable to slide to any position in the document as the progress slider doesn’t work. Record on the built-in iOS voices, which are awful for long-form text (as of mid 2024). If you’re tech savvy and have enough time on your hands, you can sign up for API access on a third party such as Azure and plug in your credentials, but that’s not a great user experience and will leave you risking expensive platform charges that can’t be seen in this app. Something like that needs to be built-in to the app and charged as a subscription.

Am having issues when I listen in high speed (1.75 and above) - there is a break which disrupts listening experience... Also- the navigation through chapters is difficult - earlier the navigation option can be easily accessed coz it used to be on top right.. now.. I need to get into settings and get to chapter navigation.. another issue- the chapters suddenly keep repeating- and it's not even like the one which we are currently listening to but a few chapters from the beginning.. it's been a mess.. I have been using this app since I guess over a year now and have had no complaints.. this update is frankly annoying me..

I use this app every single day. I love to read but I also want that experience where I can listen to it whilst I’m reading. This has resulted me to become a faster reader with better comprehension because of this app. However I have suggestions on what will make the app better and the user experience better: This will be a game changer for everyone. 1. There are a few bugs and causes my app to crash I’m using a 14 pro. For example one bug is that the voice reader stops and then changes to the default one for no reason. Other times I have to deal with crashes. The word’s highlighting when your reading are sometimes off and don’t match. 2. Another thing is, Add human like-higher quality voices for premium users pre-installed. Thanks to the devs this is an amazing app non the less.

This app fulfils my needs as a PDF to voice reader for study. Turns my texts almost into Podcast like learning experiences. I had difficulties using the App and the support contacted me within 48 hours which was appreciated. I’d suggested that the way to select voices was more intuitive. You go into the menu and click which one you want as the first step. They have random or multi select options. I’d add single voice selection as the first option, currently that option does not exist.

There was a recent April 2022 update and the chapters of all my .epubs have disappeared. I hope you are working on addressing thos bug. It is major. I cannot access *any* .epubs. The app now *only* reads online articles. This is a *great* pity, as it was *previously* perfect.

Really enjoying the user friendly interface and the fact that it works sort of like a music player. This is the only app I have found like this that can also change the pronunciation of words. Will there be any updates to add more natural voices? These voices are great but I would pay more to have a more natural sorta voice. Thank you so much for developing this @Labsii

Speech Central accesses files through Apple Files, join OneDrive and GoogleDrive to Apple Files by downloading the storage apps, & opening Apple Files and clicking ‘Edit’ to activate green slide switches on storage apps.
