Spendee Money & Budget Planner

This app is really unreliable and temperamental. Sometimes it won’t sync at all. I’ve had to reload my bank account many times. Now it’s syncing but the last two months of detailed transactions are not showing. I don’t recommend.

I bank with UBANK and my bank isn’t there, other ubanks are there but not mine..

Downloaded and then automatically unloaded the app off my phone. It does not connect with my bank, which is not part of the Australian bankopoly. For Aussies who use credit unions or smaller providers. This is not the app for you. Ironically my own is not a small provider. Just not one of the largest.

I regrettably linked my internet banking to my spendee account for ease of use, and sure enough my bank account was breached that same day. Do not link your internet banking to the app! The app is otherwise great, I would advise manually inputting income and expenses rather than using the banking link.

I used to really like the old layout, it was fun and easy to use - now it’s just another boring finance app

If Spendee is reading this review I suggest you take work on a backup feature for users data. If you are looking to download and use this app consider this as a warning about no backup feature with this app. This app is infuriating. I changed my bank password in my banking app. I did not change it in Spendee for several months. When I did it wiped 2 years of my data and replaced it with what you get when newly set up the app. I tried contacting Spendee and they could not offer any help and were very unhelpful. I am warning you this app DOES NOT have any backups. When you lose it’s lost forever. I am totally disappointed despite the fact I love everything else about the app.

Didn’t even get a chance to start using this app because I couldn’t add a bank account. Clicking ‘connect a bank account’ throws a vague error. Can’t even enter country or search for a bank. Same problem on desktop in a web browser, so it’s not just the app.

This app wipes your data if you change your banking password and not update it within this app if you don’t do it within a certain time period. Which they don’t tell you about. I have lost 2 financial years worth of entries. Gone for ever because there is no back up feature I can find. The app has downloaded the last 9 months of my banking transactions and wiped everything.

I've been using this app for about 3 years. When I changed my phone I couldn't log in through Facebook anymore.

Shame they don’t support NAB - I’m actually needing to take a deep dive into my accounts so I can actually leave NAB. Perhaps I’ll remember this app once I’ve moved everything across to Westpac, which they do support. My $1 activation transfer doesn’t need an app diving into a report expelling my income and expenses lol *shrug*
