Spotify for artists isn’t
Please get rid of the pop up re “tracking to personalise your experience” — it opens every time I open the app & it’s not clear enough as to how to opt out.
The new update isn’t to my personal taste. I think it’s a mix of the above & the amount of glitches and bugs that still remain.
I’d rather have the functionality of some parts that get loaded to the desktop than to have more inaccurate counts/metrics.
That’s just me though, otherwise it is a good looking app & does follow the general Spotify style.
Unable to track streams more than a year ago
I should be able to see my streams from over a year ago but it is capped at 12months. very poor.
Very buggy at the moment
Can’t even login. What’s going on
Can’t sign in with Google
Signed up with Google but can’t sign in with it on the app. Really poor and needs fixing.
Recent bugs but otherwise not that bad
Right now it’s very buggy, and I hope there’s an update planned. I have a track that definitely has been streamed according to the app last week but as of yesterday its stuck at 0.
Otherwise: It’s a decent app. The UX is good enough but I think there’s little point having the app when most things redirect you to a URL/safari tab.
The whole reason I have apps like these is so I don’t have 100s of tabs open all the time, surely that is the function no for most, no?
Not what you think it is
If you want to publish your music, this isn’t the place to do that, to do that you need a distributor. If you just want to check how your music is doing on Spotify, this IS the place for you. I feel like most 1 star reviews are probably from people who don’t know what this app is, so just make sure you know what you are doing and you won’t be dissapointed.
Cannot add clips for fans
I’m currently on 12 million total in a year
And cannot add clips or short videos for some reason…
Terrible
Terrible app.
Would like more control
Would like the option to hide number of listeners especially if you’re beginning with a small following. Similar to how plays shows <1000 listens, it can feel a bit awkward having so few listeners.
Gmail
There is no sign in with google option and it won’t let me sign in if I just type my gmail in
