Wish it accepted Chase bank as payment! Great little app to get money back and cut interest on your mortgage

Great app

Who doesn’t love cash back! With this app it goes towards your mortgage specifically. With some retailers available on here that are not on other Cashback sites. I always check on Sprive first as it’s so easy to use.

Earn money towards mortgage

I’ve enjoyed using Sprive. To date I’ve paid an additional £30 towards my mortgage mainly from 5p surveys. To get 5*s I would like to be eligible for more surveys. Money reached my mortgage account within the hour of me sending it from the app.

Nice idea but flawed execution

mbmbmb57 on

I like the idea of this app and have already saved quite a bit on the mortgage but the app itself is quite buggy. Crashes frequently and can be very unpredictable when filling out the surveys. This is particularly annoying if you spend 30mins+ answering a survey only for the app to crash and lose the answers

Surveys don’t work

Conway Buckles on

Surveys are a complete waste of time. Tracking snaps at the end after wasting 15/20 mins filling them in and you get nothing out of them. Sort it out dev team.

Very easy to make overpayment towards your mortgage

Clunky concept which needs some polishing

I came across Sprive in an article and thought I’d give it a try. I already overpay my mortgage directly so wasn’t interested in that side. My NatWest mortgage won’t link so I can’t see the live figures in the Sprive app. The gift card purchase is a TOTAL faff!! Its frustrating to have to buy a gift card in the queue or at the till and the new recurring one click payments are limited to five times a month. Only some of the shops show how much is left on the gift card so you have to click in, verify to see what balance if any is left. The app shows error messages when I pay the money over to the mortgage saying my mortgage doesn’t exist. The app logs out without warning and freezes on the Home Screen so you can’t buy a gift card until it resets and you go through entering your email, waiting for an email to use the app again. There’s also no FAQs to explain how many days it will take for payments to be made.
