Starship – Food Delivery

I literally got robbed because the app wouldn’t update and let me click that I was near the robot to pick up my food and I was trying to get it to work for 15 minutes but the order got canceled because it took too long and it wouldn’t let me open it. I got no refund because “it wasn’t the robots fault” and the customer service guy I talked to was very unhelpful and rude. Never using this app again.

I’ve had issues with two orders before and both times I’ve never received a refund or credit of any type, so the customer support is very frustrating but as long as you didn’t have any order issues it’s a great service.

SMS sign up is not working for some reason, so I cannot use the app.

Better than doordash

My university got these like a year ago? Two years ago? Something like that. It started off great. Would order once a week. Really helpful getting food to me so i didn’t have to go all the way across campus. This semester we’re currently in though, that’s the down hill. Wait times have been astronomical. Reaching 70-80mins sometimes. It seems there’s only 1 robot per food court which is odd. The past semester weren’t like that. We had whole fleets. Just yesterday I ordered and in the robot wasn’t my bag of food. Just a spilled Mountain Dew that I didn’t order. I was rather disappointed that they sent a robot without the ordered food in it. I did get a refund started. I really like these robots I just hope they can get back to how they were. Maybe the problem is my school but i honestly don’t know.

Excellent service. Before time delivery. Robots are quick and easy to handle/operate. I am excited to use it again.

I downloaded this app because I am a blind student in college who cannot navigate large restaurants/food courts without a friend assisting me. At the beginning of freshman year, I did not have many new friends, so I was unable to simply go out and grab a meal that was not just cooked in the microwave. The app was accessible when I placed my order, but dropping a pin on the correct location was a hassle because of the inaccessible map. Even when I searched for the location that I wanted, it did not work. It was difficult to locate the robot, and the robot would end up having to take my food back, which was wasteful and inconvenient for me. Starship should improve its accessibility with screen-readers such as VoiceOver (iPhones) and TalkBack (Android). Also, Starship should deliver to more residence halls/dorms.
