It will acquaint you with the hows and whys of training – giving you what you need to build a solid understanding of how to workout effectively. Absolutely recommended for anyone who is looking to make significant gains in their strength.”
“I don't normally write reviews but this is by far the best strength and weight training app on the App Store. I have never looked or felt stronger! Detailed information on how to get started and in many aspects of training with charts to track your progression. Will say it again excellent app and a must have for anyone wanting to get in great shape. Best Strength App by Far.”
“I can't say enough good things about this program. If you follow the program, you WILL make progress. The workouts are brutal, relentless, and effective. Great app!”
Select one of the built-in workout routines to keep it simple or go all out and design your own system. Whether you want to focus on bodybuilding or strength, this app has you covered.
---- HIGHLIGHTS ----
*track workouts in greater precision than any other app (sets, reps, weight, effort, rest intervals, tempo, daily body fat, and daily body weight).
*provides you detailed insights and feedback through multiple types of graphs, some also not available on any other app.
*gives you the absolute best workouts.
*help you establish realistic targets for muscle mass as it relates to strength.
Popular routines like 5/3/1, Starting Strength, and Stronglifts are easy to use with this app. Don't see the exact workout routine you were looking for? Make one. Want to share it with friends/clients? Upload it through the app so others can use your routine.
Fast-track Progress
Complete app access and the full package of workout analytics is available for $9.99/month, $24.99/3 months, or $99.99/year (prices may vary by territory) within the Strongur iOS mobile application. You can subscribe and pay through your iTunes account. Payment will be charged to iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renew may be turned off after purchase by going to the 'Manage Subscription' page in settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable. The subscription will renew at the same cost.
After you complete a workout, the next workout will automatically adjust (weight/rep/set increments and decrements) to respond to performance levels in the previous workout. That means workout tracking and body tracking couldn't be simpler. Single tap to create a new workout, single tap to save what you did — done.

Strongur also supports Apple’s Health app.
Realistic targets keep you on track. Statistical analysis has shown that a beginner can expect a strength gain of about 30% in the first 90 days. Additional gains in strength are gradual and due to an interplay between neuromuscular improvements and hypertrophy. A 5'9" (1.75m) man can expect to gain about 15 lb (7kg) of muscle in the first year. Expect 3-5 years to reach your natural maximum.
These are your targets. Feel free to smash through them.

Can’t logi n

The app lets me do a password reset, but because I can’t remember my username, it won’t let me login. And there’s no way to find out the username associated with my email address, which means I can’t use the app. And that makes it useless.

Really works

Great Tool; Paid for Liftime

I’m a developer too. I understand the work that goes into these apps. I’m just not a big fan of subscription based apps. I’ve been using this since it was the Multi-year Weight Training System. I’ve enjoyed it. But I did pay for the the top tier in the beginning to avoid all of the constant taxes of subscriptions.

Annoyed

I paid for the “lifetime” upgrade years ago. This used to be my favorite app. I recommended it to anyone looking for a weight tracking app. I was annoyed to log in and it told me that in order to use my programs I have already saved and used tons of times I now have to sub to the app. So I won’t be using the app anymore.

I love this app and could not imagine working out without it. Now it is a paid subscription when it has always been free. I can’t use it to workout until I come up with $100. Totally blindsided by this but I gotta come up with the cash because it’s that good. Could have given me a heads up. Will have to use something else till I get the cash.

Update after subscription model - Best lifting / programming app out there

Tries too many apps on

United States

Update: Im a programmer, I get how much work goes into, not just creating software, but keeping it up to-date with ever changing APIs and UI themes. Not to mention adding new features. But changing the rules on already purchased features kinda rankles me. I’ve been using this app since 2014 and the features and protocols I’ve bought over the years are now useless (at the time it was a once purchased always purchased). Even with that I’d have still subscribed, because, yeah it takes time to build apps and time is money. But man… you gotta look at the competition before setting prices. I can get a life time of the StrongLifts app for what you charge for a year. Yeah it doesn’t have all the features you have (yet) but it gets updated monthly. Old review because it still applies (old ranking was 5-stars): I've spent way too much money on workout / lifting apps, looking for the perfect one. And while I still haven't found the perfect one, this one is the best so far! The key things this app offers are: 1) metrics; why track your lifts if you don't use that data to figure out what works for you. This app is the best at presenting workout data! 2)Programming; its best to go into the gym already knowing what you are going to do. This app isn't to bad at this, I particularly like the auto loading and de-loading for mass or reps. 3) technique; the bar tracking feature is nice for visualizing my form. I would like to see the programming aspect evolve a bit more, but overall this is the best option on the market!

What happened ???

It’s not a problem to pay for quality but the interface and data disappeared! Will it come back if I pay? Well it WAS good! Now where to even start? I mean I know the answer is start by paying money but the interface is now so unintuitive that I don’t want to pay for it if the preview is accurate. Why are people constantly messing up perfectly good tools? So I uninstalled and reinstalled hoping it was a glitch or something… well now it wants to restore from backup but there is no backup…. So now it is stuck doing nothing!!! Why?! I just want to lift! Ah good ol’ money… ruined another nice thing

Updated this great app, now it’s requesting a subscription from out of nowhere? Can someone confirm this?
