It’s like Suunto doesn’t want you to use their desktop app at all. You can’t sync your device to your computer (have to use mobile), it crashes when you try and log certain things, and the features are non-existent. Don’t bother. Move along. Nothing other than see here.

Health data (required) Includes data like: height, weight, gender, heart rate, recovery time, PTE (personal training effect), EPOC (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption), sleep, fitness level (VO2max, maximal oxygen consumption), menstrual cycles Location data (required) Mobile-connected GPS tracking data collected even when the app is closed or not in use Will not buy Suunto products again.

Return your watch
One star because it used to work. I have used the app for 4 years with my Suunto 9 Baro, now suddenly I can’t login and the only way to do so is to consent to sharing 24/7 PHONE GPS and health data with them AND their partners. Completely unnecessary for the app to run as it worked fine for 4 years. Now my watch is a paperweight.

why is the app now demanding full time phone GPS and health data, beyond what my suunto watch records. why is this necessary? no other option to update or download activity without this? really??
App requires your data and location to be tracked at ALL times
I liked this watch and the app was fine. Latest update now forces you to allow them to collect all your data and track your location AT ALL TIMES even when not using the app. Unacceptable. Tried to return watch but was 10 days past return window. Now I have a dumb smart watch. DONT PURCHASE SUUNTO
Logs have disappeared
I’m owner of Suunto Ocean, since July 28, 2024, when I installed Suunto App. When I installed update 2.38.3, all my logs between 29.07. and 06.10.2024, including dive logs have disappeared. Also, there is no direct contact with customer support, only with bot chat, which doesn’t understand a single question asked.
