Used to be pay to own
Now rent to use. Literally no sense in using this over office lens which is free. Used to be amazing. But just invalidated itself with monthly payment. I miss scanbot :(
Bought the full version, now full of payment spam!!
Hey, what’s the big deal? Many places the app is asking me to pay and subscribe for an app I already paid in full. Bug: when viewing a scanned document, clicking the 3 dots in the top right, spawns not 1 but 2 payment demands. Fix the app! The payment demands are incorrect as well, saying “basic” (regularly paid) doesn’t have access to auto upload, OCR and no ads!

Removed option to restore purchased pro
I previously purchased the Pro-version as an in-app purchase. This allowed me to sync with Dropbox, iCloud and some other cloud services. Now that the app has changed to a subscription based model and removed the ability to use those previously paid for features. In addition, those features are not in the base version. Not the best business model to keep customers happy. Stay far away from this app.

Greed will ruin this app...
Used to love this- and in-app paid features is fine But subscription is pure greed and if features are removed from it, it's gone forever and the company blacklisted. Even if there where no alternatives, which there luckily are - many Can't believe Apple will like that a once paid app changes to a subscription and features gets removed - but it's worth a shot to alert them if or when that happens
Subscription terror
Have bought and enjoyed this app for two iPhones in the household. Now I have to buy a subscription.... OneDrive and Dropbox have this feature included and there are a lot of free or better priced options. Scanbot are now deleted on both phones. I feel scammed.
used to be a decent app...
... now I have to arbitrarily accept multiple pages of legalese in the form of Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before I can use the app I bought. I’m pretty sure this “service” is just one big data mining scam and I’m not letting it’s OCR function any where near my documents. I have lost all trust in this product. Will delete it and find some other useful app to do the job I need it to do.
Worst scan app ever!
2-3 years ago, I bought this app and spent quite a time, scanning my dokuments and put Them into selekter folders. The app was great and you could search for your notes, just by typing a word. Suddenly scanbot decided, they wanted to make more money out of Their customers and you had to pay a monthly fee. A lot of my Old dokuments disappeared in this process and it’s no longer possible to search in your dokuments. Don’t buy this app.
