Retronyms has partnered with industry giants like Akai Professional and Arturia to create some of the Tabletop-Ready Apps, like iMPC, iMini, and iProphet! Using the Tabletop features of time stretching and pitch shifting, you can slice loops and time stretch them to different tempos and pitches in iMPC Pro. You can also use sliced loops from purchased AudioCopy sound packs inside Gridlock and iMPC Pro. Loops from these sound packs will automatically match the tempo of your sessions.

Tabletop is an audio playground where you can create beats, compose songs, mix live, make mashups with samples from your iPod library, and more... the possibilities are endless. Plug the output of a keyboard into a delay to add an echo, or wire it up to a mixer and adjust the pan. Chain up multiple effects to create new and evolving sounds.

Diese App ist mal etwas Konkretes. Durchdachtes Konzept von Anfang an. Supportet so ziemlich jede Interaudio App im Musik Bereich unter IOS.

Wenig supportete Apps

Die App ist an sich super mit dem ganzen Konzept, aber unterstützt etwas wenige Apps. Z.B. nutze ich den Synth ISem von Arturia ganz gerne, aber dieser wird leider nicht in der App unterstützt, so dass man immer alles über inter-App-audio machen muss, was so viel platz weg nimmt, das man höchstens 5-6 Apps über diesen Weg einbringen kann. Mit IMPC Pro 2 ist das genau das selbe. Die anderen teile werden unterstützt aber die neuste Version, die jetzt auch schon etwas länger draußen ist, muss ebenfalls über inter-App-audio laufen lassen, was dann doch umständlicher ist. Bei dem oben genannten Synth sind, bis auf diesen, auch alle vorhanden. Aber sonst ist es wirklich eine top Daw.

Ganz gut aber..

Arturia kann man nur monophon nutzen, im Singlemode kann man ihn polyphon schalten. Sollte man verbessern!

Gute Idee, zu viele Bugs

Eigentlich würde ich die App jeden Tag nutzen wollen, da das Zusammenschalten der einzelnen Apps theoretisch super ist. Leider funktioniert das Zusammenspiel mit iMPC Pro nur rudimentär. Wenn ich das Eingespielte direkt in iMPC importieren und später in die MPC Desktop Software einspielen kann, macht diese App für mich erst Sinn. Bis dahin ist es Spielzeug.

Live Tool

Der Vorteil gegenüber anderer Musiksoftware ist der, dass man diesselben Synths, iMPC etc. mehrfach in die Oberfläche laden kann. Die Effekte sind etwas eigen. Für den Liveeinsatz in jedem Fall aber alles brauchbar. Um Tracks vorzuproduzieren, um sie danach über Audiocopy zu bouncen und auf dem Desktop oder in anderer Ipad Software weiter zu bearbeiten in jedem Fall auch. Kleiner Tip: wenn man im Standalone in der iMPC Pro Tracks etc gebaut hat, sichert man den Ordner über I-Tunes auf den Computer und holt sich den Ordner dann über Tabletop wieder in die iMPC Pro zurück.

grottenschlecht und sehr von sich eingenommen

kein interapp support und ebenfalls keine audiobus konnektivität. darüber hinaus sind die instrumente innerhalb der "tabletop-welt" im zusammenspiel mehr als fragwürdig. musik produzieren mit dieser app? ein klares NEIN!

Momentan permanent am abstürzen...besonders nervig wenn man seinen Track abspeichern möchte, raucht die App einfach ab...das macht nun wirklich keinen Spaß.
