Edit and typeset LaTeX, Plain TeX and Markdown on your iPad or iPhone, no internet connection required, using Texifier, formerly known as Texpad.

Texifier is a LaTeX editor designed for straightforward navigation, editing and typesetting of projects of any size. Open a LaTeX root file, and Texifier will scan it, open any referenced files, extract the document structure for display in the outline view, and configure the typesetter according to the packages and tools used by your document.

Texifier's editor comes with a choice of themes, syntax highlighting, autocomplete of commands, including those defined in your document, and autofill for \cite commands, \ref commands and others. The powerful sidebar can show you a summary of your document structure allowing you to navigate through large multi-file projects with ease. Additionally Texifier's outline lists all labels, figures, tables, todos and it contains a powerful search function that can search and replace across your entire project using either normal text searches or regular expression searches.

TexpadTeX - Texifier's internal, no internet connection required, typesetter comes with PGF drivers, Native Fonts extensions, a Unicode and more, allow it to support almost any LaTeX package available. TexpadTeX also integrates a BibteX tool and a Makeindex compatible indexer for documents that require those tools. The integrated bundle manager takes care of downloading, installing and updating LaTeX packages for you, giving you access to almost the entire LaTeX ecosystem without using any more space on your device than needed.

TexpadTeX can run in Live mode, updating the output as you type, so you never need wait for a typeset to finish again.

For the rare cases of documents that are not compatible with TexpadTeX, you can use our free cloud typesetters. This is fully integrated into Texifier so press typeset, and Texifier will run the typeset in the Cloud, presenting the results just as if they were typeset on your device.

After all typesets, any errors in your document are organised in a table of issues. Tap on an issue to jump directly to the offending line of LaTeX source, or the line in the original log if you wish to read the original output.

Texifier works well with Files App, allowing you to store and work on your documents wherever you wish. On top of that Texifier Connect is directly integrated into Texifier for working across devices and collaborators.

Texifier supports Markdown along with LaTeX. Edit your document in Texifier's syntax highlighting editor, browse the document by outline, then when you press Typeset, the document will be transparently converted and typeset by LaTeX (using a standard template), giving you the informal ease of Markdown with LaTeX's ability to create beautiful and high quality PDFs. Likewise Plain TeX users can edit and typeset their documents in Texifier.

Amazing app!

It works extremely well even for large and heavy LaTeX documents!

Me siento estafado

La descripción dice que la App es compatible con Dropbox y lo primero que veo después de descargar y pagae los 22€ es que dejan de dar soporte a Dropbox. Tengo todas mis carpetas con trabajos Latex en Dropbox por lo que esto es un gran problema para mi. Por favor más transparencia.

Cambio mi reseña de hace tres años. Ahora sí funciona. Es rápida y eficaz, y no me da errores.

Not working

It hangs and freezes almost every time. The app is full of bugs. Shame

iCloud Drive

No consigo abrir los ficheros .tex almacenados en iCloud Drive o Google drive

No funciona con Dropbox

Llevo un año con esta app instalada en el iPad Pro, y el problema persiste: No abre los archivos que están en Dropbox, y cuando intentas abrir uno, la app se queda bloqueada. Durante este año han enviado actualizaciones diciendo que han corregido este fallo, pero todo sigue igual. No desinstalo la aplicación porque tengo la esperanza de que algún día lo solucionen. Como sugerencia: podrían añadir soporte para OneDrive, Google Drive e iCloud. Y que funcionen.

Not working

Te freezes every time it saves a file. When you try to close a file it says “Saving” but does not do anything. You need to manually exit.

Incompatibilidad con iOS10

Era, sin duda, el mejor programa de látex para ipad, capaz de hacer todo como en un ordenador. Pero desde que actualicé a iOS10 ha dejado de funcionar. Lo abro, selecciono un documento, y se queda bloqueado un rato hasta que se cierra el programa. He tenido que desinstalarlo e instalar otro que, aunque no es tan bueno como era el texpad, al menos funciona. Espero que actualicen pronto a una versión que funcione bien con iOS10. Pongo 2 estrellas en lugar de una en recuerdo de lo bien que funcionaba. Si vuelve a ir bien, pasaría a 4 o 5.

Sorprendido gratamente

Una aplicación que cumple bastante bien con lo que dice hacer. Si bien es cierto que para algunas opciones de LaTeX nos veremos forzados a compilar en la nube, muchas otras se pueden correr localmente. De momento no he compilado grandes documentos, así que en ese aspecto poco puedo decir. Sin embargo, pese a estar utilizando un iPad 2 (al que ya se le empieza a notar el paso del tiempo) la aplicación no ha dado ningún fallo. La interfaz es excelente y muestra a la izquierda (con posibilidad de ocultación para tener más espacio disponible) todos los documentos que hemos incluido así como las distintas secciones, subsecciones, figuras, tablas, bibliografía... que hayamos ido añadiendo a lo largo del documento. Además los desarrolladores parecen bastante implicados y trabajan en añadir más opciones a la aplicación. Si tuviera que quejarme de algo, diría que para algunos documentos el tiempo de procesado hasta compilarlo es excesivamente largo (sobre todo cuando se incluyen gráficas en 3D complicadas), aunque imagino que esto tendrá bastante que ver con las especificaciones técnicas de mi dispositivo (no he tenido oportunidad de probarlo en otros más recientes). Para aquellos que quieran seguir editando sus documentos de LaTeX en cualquier lugar y tengan dudas sobre la aplicación (por ejemplo, sobre si los paquetes que utilizan frecuentemente están disponibles para ejecución en local) les recomiendo que se pongan en contacto con los desarrolladores, ya que estos les resolverán cualquier duda. De los que yo utilizo frecuentemente, uno de los que todavía no funciona perfectamente en local es "\hyperref" (no da error al compilar en local pero no genera los enlaces a las secciones, aunque sí añade el color que se indicara al importar el paquete).

TexPad crashes (REVTEX4.1 with pdf figures)

TexPad continuously crashes when I compile a file containing 4 pdf figures. I'm using REVTEX4.1. Please, fix this problem!
