This app is rubbish it’s always wrong. It says there is trains when there isn’t. It tells you to get a train the opposite direction get off and cross the platform and then go back past the station you originally came from. Tbf tho Thameslink let me down so often it’s kinda good the app matches the service

Useless

Pretty much useless, have to regularly verify with the national rail website as information is wrong. Trains show as on time when the are in fact delayed or cancelled. Delay repay information also does not sync with the website so claims submitted on the app can only be viewed in the app.

Awful

Struggles with interacting with apple password saving. Navigation is awful. Finding dashboard erratic as not listed. Always crashes when tapping on your journey that would I guess reveal a qr code Travelling with app useless and staff know it doesn’t work and just let you through.

Useless

The one thing you need a train company app is to allow you access your tickets. Every time you click on a journey the app crashes!

Confusing and Useless

Apps are supposed to be there to make things convenient and easy. This app makes me just want to queue up at the station 🤦🏻‍♀️

A Fancy Timetabel

The train time side is fine but guying tickets or administering your account is an awful experience. It essentially tries to display their website through the app, very unsuccessfully! The scaling is all wrong buttons cannot be reached. I tried to buy a ticket, the option to pay by debit or credit card has disappeared so you can only pay by Amazon Pay or PayPal. However you cannot reach the required confirm buttons because the app won’t scale the websites properly! Shockingly bad experience in 2022!

This app is awful

Have Thameslink seriously paid money for the design and development of this app? It looks like a web wrapper, not a modern day app. Uninstalled, back to Trainline I go.

Very poor.

Last updated for iOS 6. Shameful and embarrassingly useless. Next update- 2050. Yep this app is updated as often as their trains come.

Hot garbage

Thameslink couldn’t show any more contempt for its customers than shipping this mess.

For regular tickets use another rail company’s app

For regular tickets use another companies ticketing app. The things it’s useful for..quick access to the status of the next five trains on your preferred routes. You can store three routes. What it’s not good at Buying tickets - last time I tried to collect an E ticket the ticket wallet crashed every time I tried to access the ticket. Latest version of the app and latest iOS. Deleted and reinstalled and it still didn’t work. Cue - second ticket and a refund claim. Buying tickets for the Smart card - how. Just how does that work. A clumsy UI that doesn’t work well with your login. Buying tickets - this may be a rail ticketing problem generally but when trying to buy tickets to London for one adult and one child using a family and friends railcard the app gave a price. Buying it at the ticket office give a cheaper price because the staff new what they were doing and the app can’t following the same logic. Railcards - you can’t actually add a Friends and Family railcard to the app. The others but not this one. A clumsy UI where the navigation requires you to press cancel buttons, back buttons and ‘x’ buttons which appear in different places across the screen depending what your doing. The app has been built for smaller screens so doesn’t fill the full iOS display for most phones. This is fine until the app pushes you to a web form within the app that doesn’t fit the screen so you have to zoom in and out. Overall it’s unintuitive, the functionality is lumpy and best or just doesn’t work. For tickets use almost any other application. The LNER is a good one. Ticket purchase is quick, E tickets work and can be pushed to your apple wallet for even easier access. Rail train times or national rail can give you timetable info just fine. Or just use the many many different types of ticket machine at the station. You don’t ave any money using the app. If anything, it can steer you to more expensive tickets because of its strict logic. Overall the app is a hindrance rather than a help.
