The ‘old’ app was perfect I read the independent on a daily basis. The new app is slow, the navigation is poor and the app requires a subscription. This app ends my interest in reading the independent on a mobile device.
Content hasn’t (been) updated in a week. Is the App dead?
very bad app,crash after crash ,on my iphone x and iphone 7+.

This app is very slow or not working. Needs a significant update and fully compatible with IOS11. Content is great.
Well appreciated news source and I wish the app would perform better. Many times the app freezes. I can't determine what causes it. It might happen while scrolling or choosing another chapter or simply handsfree, while enjoying my coffee… (right, that must be it: tea would have been a more appropriate choice). Today, 2 months after deleting the app, I gave it a second chance, but I am sorry to say nothing's changed. So… back to the website to get informed :-(
App works well, fast updates, insighful news coverage
This app works great. The Independent is one of my main sources for news
Lots on news and background news.
The main problem is that you have to manually refresh to see new articles. This should happen automatically. Makes for a very slow reading experience.
