Nothing like driving in circles looking for a parking spot you’ve paid for when you are catching a flight. No help in the app with directions or instructions on how to access the lot that has no signage. Had to park illegally and get out and run to find help. Not a great start to my trip. :(
Newark NJ
So far I’ve only ever used the Parking Spot app to leave my car at Newark (EWR) for 5 days. The app was awesome and you could literally see exactly where the shuttle was and when it was coming when get back and are ready to pick up your car. We were able to see that the shuttle was at the terminal before us and quickly got over to the pick up area just as the shuttle was pulling up. It was great. Very happy with the app and the parking spot in general, but again this was my personal experience using the Hayes location which is for Newark NJ airport
Great app for a great, reasonable service
I had to make 3 reservations back to back for travel over the next few months, and it was easy and user-friendly.
US Park at DTW
Not all the parking lots have qr readers. I had a reservation at US Park at Middlebelt at the Detroit airport and was told it was NOT a US Park reservation. It states clearly that I paid in advance for parking at this lot and gives the option for touchless exit, which I did, and I was told by the attendants that they do not honor this App. And could not scan the barcode. What a frustrating 20 minutes trying to iron that out. No more parking spot… shoulda stayed park n fly.
Very good app, but room for improvement
I've been using the Parking Spot in this app for a few years and I'm still befuddled by the fact that there is no place within the app to scan a drivers poster to tip them within the app and add that tip to your final bill. It goes outside of the app into your browser where you have to type in your credit card information becauseit won't sync with iPhone and the credit card storage. It absolutely can be done.
The parking spot fix your maps
GPS through parking app taking and showing me directions to state park JFK up in the Bronx, Not JFK airport in queens, even though the address says queen. This would of been a disaster and reframes me in the future using the parking spot app
Horrible Charlotte service- 1 hour wait
Absolute joke trying to get to car from the airport. One shuttle in an hour which immediately gets filled by women’s children and elderly. Then wait for the next while the line piles up again.
No way to prevent promotional notifications
This app will spam your notification screen with regular promotional material. While it allows you to opt of of promotional emails it does not provide this option for mobile notifications. My work around is to delete the app and only install it in the moments I may decide to use their service. An opt out function is a pretty easy thing for the company to correct, so the failure to provide it demonstrates a lack of basic customer respect. I do not recommend the Parking Spot.
Bella
I used the parking spot for the first time and found the people so helpful. Alberto was so kind on the phone, Louis helped with turning off tolls and the gentleman from New Hampshire who brought me to the airport couldn’t have been nicer. Great team!
Don't ever pre-pay
I prepaid once and saved a pittance. When my plans changed I got hammered with a higher rate, much higher. They were definitely taking advantage of the situation. Never again! Just make your reservation and pay when you leave. I felt personally violated and taken advantage of by what they did - the surcharge was ridiculous for a minor change.
