Description

The Self-Compassion App is for you if you want to feel happier, calmer & more connected. Whether you get caught up in cycles of stress and anxiety, regularly give yourself a hard time or struggle to relax and enjoy the moment – this app can help.

The app includes scientifically-validated practices from Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), with 50+ tools to help you when life gets hard. Be guided by Drs Chris Irons and Elaine Beaumont – leading authorities on self-compassion, who collectively have 40+ years of experience as therapists and have helped tens of thousands of people.

This app has undergone a nationwide study, with participants showing significant reductions in stress, anxiety, self criticism, and increases in wellbeing. Anyone can develop self-compassion and enjoy all its benefits – we look forward to showing you how.
Why self-compassion?
We are often our own harshest critic, talking to ourselves in ways that we would never do our close friends. Given that we spend more time with ourselves than anyone else, isn’t it strange that many of us don’t treat ourselves with the same level of kindness, care and support as we do our close friends? Now is your time to start.
With evidence based ideas and exercises from CFT, this app will teach you how to cultivate compassion for yourself and others. Through the course, you’ll learn how to strike a balance between self improvement & self acceptance: teaching you how to have a realistic but kind view of difficulties that arise in life, and giving you the confidence you need to achieve your goals in life, work and relationships.

A toolkit for managing the ups and downs of life.

The Self Compassion App Reviews

Useless and expensive

I canceled my subscription since I found it unworthy for the price and not useful for long time but it seems there was an error and they didn’t accept my cancellation. I tried a lot of similar apps but it’s the weakest oneunfortunately

Super helpful

Only been using the app a short time but it has been really helpful already.

A really useful app that’s become part of daily practice

I found the app after a recommendation from a friend. First I tried the three free days and found the course incredibly useful. I found it different from all the other apps I had, that were just listening. I feel the fact that there are prompts to write a short reflection really useful and it stops and makes you think about what you have heard. I like that it will send you reminders about what you have learnt that day and that you get a choice of voices to listen to. I also like the calendar function and that you can see what you have done over time. It’s a really well thought app, that I didn’t really think I needed until I started using it. All of the extra skills have been useful as well as the course and it’s these I use on a daily basis to help with calm and self compassion. I highly recommend the app to anyone who wants some extra support and direction when it comes to self compassion. Try the app for the three free days and you won’t be disappointed.

Great app

I’ve been using this for a few weeks to help start and end the day well. So far it’s been helpful in developing good habits and self awareness, to be compassionate to myself and others. The course is well thought through and I can take it at my own pace, and there are tools I can use and revisit to help with breathing, meditation, gratefulness etc…

Daily Practice Makes Perfect!

I've read Paul Gilbert's book and this led me on to how I might ingrain self compassion more permanently on myself and I've found this app helps me to include the practice as a daily routine. I'm half way through the course and finding my anxiety levels are much reduced.

This is a useful app that I think could help anyone. Many of us are negative/threat focussed. These practices help to bring balance to our emotions. Helped me to gain a sense of calm

Brilliant Course

I have absolutely loved the compassion app. It has really helped my mental health. It guides you in a really non judgemental and positive way. In no way does it feel patronising but makes you acknowledge that all feelings are valid. I couldn’t recommend this app enough.

Self Compassion App

This is a brilliant App. As a counsellor I am now recommending it to my clients to help them manage anxiety and for their self critical thinking. It’s backed by scientific research to be effective, it’s well thought out and paced. Highly recommended to all

Really enjoying so far

Rip off

Sambi321 on

My previous rating and feedback seems to have been deleted. I thought there would be more course material after the initial 28 days but that’s it. I contacted them multiple times and I got no response until after the 30 refund period. I told them this in an email and have had no response. A bit disgusted that an app about compassion is just after your money.
