Auttoi ensinmäiset kuukaudet hahmottamaan vauvan osaamista, mutta 6kk iän jälkeen täysin turha koska yksilöllinen kehitys on niin suurta
I haven’t seen my baby follow any of the leaps; not the grumpy seasons nor the skills. They seem to come around the leap gradually within several weeks but not in a leap like matter.
The best the app can offer is the data and insight that help understanding your baby better, and it has been of huge benefit for us. However, the calendar is very unintuitive, would be better to show actual calendar weeks rather than dates or baby’s week nums. Also, would expect to see also the weeks that relate to baby keeping the food supply going, ie. the weeks when baby could spend the entire day feeding, which doesn’t necessarily relate to developmental leaps. Therefore was a bit dissappointed that this info was needed to get somewhere else.
It was very hard the second leap without this app I would think I broke my baby! She kept waking up crying, I guess it was because she wouldn’t recognize the place. Luckily I stayed within steps from her so she would always see me right away and calm down. At the end she was ok and loved everyone’s patterned clothes, it was super cute!
I love using the wonder weeks app to log my daughter’s signals, skill gains, to create a pdf with stories of these things, and for the community feature. All have helped ease my anxiety, taught me new information, given me perspective on what other parents are thinking about, and allowed me a sweet way to log information about her days that hopefully I can one day share with her.
I honestly wouldn’t recommend the wonder weeks app. It roughly guess your baby milestones at specific times but every baby is different. My baby showed milestones way earlier or way later than the app suggested. That can be stressful for a 1st time mom. I would save my money and just talk with doctors, friends or even google for free.
I bought this app when my first baby was born and it has been such a huge help! It’s so nice knowing why my baby may be fussy, even if there isn’t a whole lot I can do to stop the fussiness. The explanations of each leap are fascinating and I love the suggestions to encourage development during and after a leap. I used this app for all 3 of my children and I like how the app has improved over the years.
It’s interesting to learn about the leaps but the descriptions are very confusing. I’m reading the description for leap 6 and either my baby is very far behind or this app is weirdly far ahead. She’s 7.5 months, and you expect her to be mooing? Looking at dogs and mooing because she thinks it’s a cow? She’s really far away from that! I know she’s progressing normally so I’m concluding this app just needs a serious amount of editing. I’m going to find the book in the library.. I’m assuming that’s where the better information is.
G has been wild these past few days. she isn’t sleeping so mommy & daddy aren’t either. but she’s the most fun, most active, most awake n playful during the day. sometimes we wish she’d sleep!! lol.
