TheJournal.ie News Reviews

Now use another news app due video ads

Cccc1234 on

Ireland

I now login and see this new banner video advert at top of page and immediately close the journal and switch to use another Breaking News Ireland app as it is both annoying and distracting in equal measure. Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to be sacked.

Crashes on opening

Soulrobot on

Ireland

Was working fine but since a couple of weeks ago it crashes as soon as I try to open it. iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 18.1.1

Noname

Wueksjshdu747 on

Ireland

Ads have ruined the app, literally takes up half the screen now

Toilet

Kendo Nagasaki Jnr on

Ireland

This is a toilet full of trolls. Don’t waste your time with this rag.

Awful video ads

Appy'Out on

Ireland

The recent introduction of intrusive video ads popping up on screen is the final straw for me. Moving to another news app.

Censored and Woke

Politicalzomby on

Ireland

If you want to read woke and lefty opinions then read the journal. An absolute heaven for all the vulnerable and triggered out there. Not to worry the Journal will censor and ban any naughty thoughts or opinions that don’t sit nicely with mainstream media.

Worst news app ever

mck1972 on

Ireland

The only crowd to copy from other news companies such a joke

Another update, more regressions

hairy_back on

Ireland

Latest update has issues with scrolling through articles with random repositioning/jumping

Forced adverts

Kaliberbeats on

Ireland

I just deleted the app because of the advert i’m forced to watch at top of screen since latest update. Replaced it with rte news app. Bye.

Great!

Dave Lucan on

Ireland

Great source of balanced news. Comment section best avoided.
