HOW TO PLAY TICKET TO RIDE®:
Players are dealt a number of tickets and must pick a certain number to keep (depending on the map).
Players are also dealt four train cards of various colours. This number can also vary depending on the map you’re playing on, but don’t worry – the AI takes care of this!
Each turn, players can draw two train cards from the face-up pile, draw two train cards from the face-down pile, draw another ticket to complete, or use their train cards to claim a route! A claimed route is shown by placing train pieces along the route.
When a player has three or fewer train pieces left, the last round starts. Whoever has the most points at the end of the game is the winner!

How much does Ticket to Ride® cost?
Ticket to Ride® has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is €7.39.
If you buy this to play with an Apple Family Member, be warned that, although your family member will - properly - not be charged to install and play the basic game with you, if you purchase an add-on (e.g, the India expansion) your family member will find that you cannot invite them to a game in that expansion, because they do not own it. When they seek out and are offered that in-app purchase, it says “the purchase could not be completed”. You have wasted your money.
Claiming routes need work
The game play when claiming routes is clumsy. The app seems to want to enlarge and center the image of the train card directly under your finger, which obscures the map. You can’t drag it from the edge. The workaround is you have to zoom in first and then drag the card over. And when you wonder how the app opponent finished 9, 10, 11 tickets so you go to view their tickets, the app displays them in a way that they’re next to impossible to read.
Good board game, poorly designed app
The app is clunky, the interface is not intuitive, and it is hard to add friends to play with other people. Sometimes it doesn’t even add up the score correctly at the end of the game and we see different results on different players’ devices at the end of the game.
Fun!
This game is really fun, but it overheats my phone and the game crashed :(
Great Version
Only started playing recently so I don’t know what kind of bugs it has at launch. But not, it plays fine for me and I love all the different boards and seasonal trains it offers. Very faithful to the original board game and highly recommend.
Heavy on the in app purchases
Overly expensive and only get one map for initial price
Rails & Sails
Love this game! Can you add Rails and Sails for digital play??
Love the game, hate the crashing
Honestly, I got this game because I love the board game and when the game is working, it’s so much fun. But it seems like more times than not, when I’m playing online against a friend, we get started with the game and then it glitches and it shows that its my turn on the menu screen, but will not allow me to play. In the game it shows it as the other players turn. I have tried deleting it and redownloading and no change. Like I said, when it works, its so much fun and would absolutely be a 5 star game
Great game (but some pet peeves)
Edited: I’ve been enjoying this game! Some glitchy things I was seeing have gotten better. But, some things I would fix:
1) Please let me play in portrait mode.
2) It’s very difficult to minimize/exit the app on iPhone, because my cards are placed at the bottom of the screen, right where I need to swipe up to minimize the app. This can cause me to accidentally play a card when I’m trying to close the app. Please add a close button!
3) It’s easy to accidentally click on additional tickets when I’m trying to take the top card on the right. Please add a confirmation when clicking the ticket button.
4) I have accidentally played the wrong route when dragging cards up from the bottom of the screen. Please add confirmation when claiming a route.
5) Please increase the font size on tickets.
6) Async games against other people seem far too slow, so I never play them.
Horrible Quality Control
Games disconnects constantly…..freezes…..it’s like a monkey pushes updates with no QA
