So many glitches for an app that we rely on for safe patient care

Zaynspeen on

I work at hospital that has this implemented for all residents, attendings, nurses and other integral medical staff to use to communicate in non-urgent and urgent/emergent settings. It is constantly not loading, sometimes despite my notifications being on it wont make any noise, then sometimes it crashes each time its opened. Impossible to sign out of roles at times as well. This needs some serious bug fixes as this can delay patient care.

Worked, but a little janky

DangitDev on

United States

It was fine, used it for a time for secure chat around a hospital and it worked for sending and receiving messages but it felt a little unpolished and almost dated. It did what it was supposed to for the most part so it’s not a bad app, just clunky and crashed/froze a bit more than you’d expect from something so widely relied on for healthcare communication.

Better than a pager, but often fails to connect

CG Mike on

United States

Having been in medicine I went from pagers to eventually using Tiger Connect (originally Tiger Text). When it works it’s great, allowing me to securely message other TC users and even receive X-rays and other photos easily. Unfortunately the service isn’t always reliable and I end up getting messages hours later (if at all), and lately even after viewing a message it continues to alert me that I have unread messages. Very annoying!

I honestly hate this app. It does its best to help keep patient information confidential. It does a great job for instant messaging within a hospital. But it never works. It has a such a hard time loading messages. The services has great potential but the app is never working.

Cannot silence

Be ready for non stop text and emails. No option to silence.

Unusable since last update

Dr. Oli E on

United States

TigerConnect is too laggy and buggy to be usable since the last update. I can receive and view most messages, but it isn’t syncing appropriately with the messages I can see on desktop, it says I have dozens of unread messages that I’ve read on desktop, when I try to type a reply it has a lag time of several seconds for each keystroke, I’ve been sending messages that disappear into the void. I can’t go on “DND” because it says I’m logged into a role, despite having been logged out of that role several hours ago, and that role no longer appearing on the app. There’s been at least two major miscommunications in the clinical setting because of this. Totally unacceptable.

one thing and i’d give 2 more stars

please add the feature to where you can react to messages. sometimes it’s much more simple to put a reaction to know you’ve seen the message or as a “response” at least a smiley face option or a thumbs up.

I have to constantly delete and reinstall the app

GretchenWeinersToasterStrudel on

United States

There is a glitch on TigerText that causes the app to suddenly start sending pages for an “unread message” that doesn’t exist. I’ve tried clicking on every message again, having someone else take over the pager and transfer it back, but nothing can be done to get rid of the page. You will be stuck with a pager ringing off indefinitely every couple of minutes, all day and night, until you uninstall the app and redownload it. Once reinstalled, the “new message” will be a message you already read days prior.
