It’s okay. Needs a lot of UX work
It’s a very confusing app to use. Some trainings go to my watch, some don’t. Sometimes my sessions will be saved as the correct workout, sometimes they save as a different (incorrect) workout. Just lots of little issues that I’ve continuously had to deal with for the past couple months that I’ve used this app.
A little complicated at first
When I first downloaded TP it was a little difficult to understand with all the settings and screens and options … but when I purchased my first TP training plan … everything became a lot clearer … and now that I have a coach and they can access and set workouts for me via TP … I can now say this is a great app especially if you love see all the analytics!
Good Apple Watch Integration

I really wanted it to be great, but it’s not.
The functionality from the Coach standpoint is awful. It doesn’t seem like there is a way for me to share my link with potential clients via text or even email in the app, and looking at any metrics on the phone is a nightmare. Using it to manage my clients or workoutsis pointless, because the functionality is terrible. I can’t edit a work out. I can’t share my link. It’s absolutely useless to me as a coach.

The ATP is a far cry from what it is advertised. Race types are limited to just a few and differ from activity types (for example, no xc ski races can be selected). Almost none of the functionality described by Phil Crick exists in real life.
Outdated and underdeveloped
Can we ever expect a full workout editor in the app?
There is a bug?
There is a bug in settings that doesn’t let you change from Imperial to Metric. It gives you the option but no button to accept the selection.
Or this is a premium option?
App just stopped working
No notice of any kind. I just get a message that says “service unavailable” so I’m missing the workout I paid a coach to make for me…this is a huge ding on this app.
Very unreliable and keeps logging me out
This app keeps randomly logging me out and then I’m unable to sync my missed workouts! My coach can’t see my progress as a result. Please do what you’re supposed to and stop logging me out and preventing sync!
How do you qualify something that’s beyond pathetic?
I’ve been a premium user for over a decade. The only reason I remain is because there’s no competition. But this platform is useless (for instance, total TSS estimated for a 5-h hike: 6 rTSS; no moving average for weight; pathetic default speed intervals; …) and I will happily leave it as soon as I can.
This industry is ripe to be “disrupted” by someone who offers a reasonable service at a reasonable price. I know, what a ground breaking concept, right? And yet, TP has failed to be that and isn’t making any process to get there …
