Great app, emailed support but never heard back. Similar experiences online - support needs to be improved.

It claims to have real-time flight alerts. I purchased this app for that purpose, and manually input all of my trip’s flights. At no point did it do any real-time alerting of gates, departures, etc as advertised. None of the in-app info for the flights ever updated either, so it was not just a failure of push notifications. The app overall is not a bad idea, but is very clunky in execution. Adding an activity to a day without a time is not possible, which seems like an oversight. Lots of trips’ activities get slotted into days, but no specific time.

My experience with Tripsy was short. I liked the look of the app, so ignoring the voice in my head telling me that there is an entirely free app that I have been using for years without problem (though it may not look quite so pretty), I gave the app a try. I forwarded my flight confirmation from Air Canada to Tripsy, opened the app… and found that the dates were completely wrong. I’m lucky they were so very wrong, for the dates had been correct and the times just a bit off, I may not have noticed and perhaps missed my flight. The app has one job: manage my travel itinerary, and it failed horrendously at this within a couple of minutes of downloading it. Nothing to do but cancel my subscription (thankfully a free trial) and delete the app. Use at your own peril.

The most recent update seems to have affected their Home Screen widgets. They just show up blank.

It's clear that compared to its competitors, kayak and tripit, tripsy has the nicest design and ui, with a high degree of polish, but also a high cost. It's biggest letdown is the automations. For example, if 2 flights are auto imported via email or tripit or whatever, and flight one is city A -> city B and flight 2 is 5 days later from city B -> city A, why is this not merged into a single trip? They appear as two seperate trips, to two seperate cities, each containing only a single item. Having to go in and manually move flights, or other reservations (hotel, car, etc.), into a single trip is highly tedious. Kayak, tripit, and even google travel all do this much better. At this asking price- and a recurring subscription at that- the importing and trip management work flow needs serious improvement.

I was actually thinking about buying a lifetime sub but soon I found the sync is not working. No option to access my email to read itinerary. Worse parser than TripIt’s even though it is free. No fancy notification/push UI like flighty.

So just used a few days, if ignore the cost (well, the “not very good” cost for this app really a problem), the app is still very good. However, there are some problem should be improve: First, the time input for events looks having glitch, which sometimes I unable to input correct time (for example: when I input 2:45pm, the app will mistakenly store 3:45pm, and will remain this wrong time no matter how I edit them). This problem currently only find on my Mac version. Second, for flights information, will we have chance to edit the Aircraft type in future update?
