Description

Try Dry® is the powerful, easy-to-use, and totally free premium app helping tens of thousands of people to take control of their drinking. Try Dry® is the official app of Dry January®, which was created and is run by the charity Alcohol Change UK.

Co-created with drinkers and based on behavioural science and a spirit of experimenting (hence the name), Try Dry® contains unique features such as 'planned drinking', custom goals, and special missions. Unlike 'sobriety-only apps', it works brilliantly whether you want to cut back or try being sober.

Whether you’re taking on Dry January®, doing Sober Spring, trying a sober October, making a longer-term change to your drinking, or just cutting back, Try Dry® is your trusted year-round support system.

Why should I download Try Dry®?
• Track your units, calories and money saved
• Set goals that work for you
• Loads of great badges to achieve with in-app celebrations
• Access our exclusive free coaching email programme
• See your progress using the charts
• Daily motivation - receive a reminder every day, at a time that suits you
• Use the drinking risk quiz to see how you are doing
• Led by science, developed for you. Try Dry combines behavioural science with a highly responsive approach to feedback from users.
• Totally free. No upfront costs. No hidden costs. No ads. Entirely funded by the charity Alcohol Change UK.

Why cut down your drinking?
• Better sleep. More energy. Glowing skin (yes, really).
• More money in your pocket (the average UK adult spends £50,000 on booze in their lifetime!)
• Get healthier - cutting back on the booze lowers your risks of over 60 serious medical conditions including heart disease, stroke, and 7 cancers
• Take control – if alcohol has become a habit, break free and take full control
• Be more present, enjoy life more, and really be there for your family and friends.

Life saver

Groenschaap on

This app has literally saved my life. Recommended. It’s not just the app - all the other support is great as well.

Caramoji on

Prima app! Ik deed een 30 dagen dry challenge maar zit inmiddels op een half jaar. Motiverend om je bespaarde units, calorieën en geld te zien oplopen. App is gratis zonder irritante reclame, bijdrage is vrijwillig. Soms wel even herstarten, dan geeft de kalender geen dry icoontje meer weer of weigert een nieuwe invoer, met een herstart is dat opgelost.

Endless Opening

AdkaLaky on

Opening of the app takes ages. Kinda downgrades the overall experience

Never opens on first attempt

Lioness74 on

I really wanted to use this to track my dry January, but it takes opening and closing the app at least twice before I can register my data. Really slow once it does open. And there is no possibility to choose the time of the notification. 8pm is too early for an app tracking alcohol use, at least for me it is, as my consumption would normally be later in the evening.

App fails to create account

T••B on

Dear developer, when I try to create an account in the app, it won’t go further then the attempt to create one. When I push ‘create’ I see the ‘wheel’ but it keeps circling. My account isn’t created at all. Can you help me?

So, so...

Tevreden Henkie on

Looses login settings after each update. The app is already ‘Brexit proof’ as ‘Saving money’ is only shown in English pounds. The settings do not allow any other currency like Euros.
