Track your drinking year-round

Description

Try Dry® is the powerful, easy-to-use, and totally free premium app helping tens of thousands of people to take control of their drinking. Try Dry® is the official app of the Dry January® challenge, which was created and is run by the charity Alcohol Change UK.
Co-created with drinkers and based on behavioural science and a spirit of experimenting (hence the name), Try Dry® contains unique features such as 'planned drinking', custom goals, and special missions. Whether you’re taking on the Dry January® challenge, doing Sober Spring, trying a sober October, making a longer-term change to your drinking, or just cutting back, the Try Dry® app is your trusted year-round support system.

TRY DRY Reviews

App failed on 2nd January!

Wouldn’t allow me to add zero free alcohol days! Time for a 🍻!

Very helpful

Very helpful app, whether you’re just using it for Dry January or planning to stay sober for longer. It’ll help you save money too, of course! The visual aspect means that the ever-growing rows of yellow stayed-dry icons on your calendar act as an incentive to keep going. And if you do lapse on occasion (as I have) the simple visuals help you choose to look at the positive of all those yellow icons and feel smug (!) at how well you’ve done, and look on the occasional black icon in a sea of yellow as just a blip. Easy to correct mistakes, too. If you log a day as dry but later remember you’d had a drink, just click on the date in the calendar and then on ‘I had a drink’ in the following screen. And if you enter your drinks in the wrong date, just click on the date in question and then in View your drinks’ in the following screen, where you can either add more drinks or remove them by swiping and hitting Delete.

Really helpful app

Great little app! Keeps me that little bit more mindful on how many days I drink and over the course of the year. Just wish it had a community section as it would be good to chat to others who are also trying to cut back!

Can’t remove Dave from Calendar

If you accidentally add a day to the calendar, you cannot remove it forcing you to have to delete your whole account and restart the app from scratch.

Excellent App for getting sober and staying sober

Colourfan15 on

No lectures, just drinking mindfulness, achieved in different ways by setting optional goals, making notes when feeling like it’s not going so well. Not just for January, any day is a good day to use it.

This is my go to app for recording my dry spells or cutting back on alcohol. It keeps me motivated and has some really useful features to record how you feel and sleep as you cut back.

32 days sober

Well I never. I never thought I’d get this far now 32 days sober with absolutely no inclination to have a drink some time soon. This app has truly helped me keep a eye watching my progress day by day. As a heavy drinker I never looked at the expense of the habit it was the least important thing that concerned me, what amazed me was how my sleep has improved and how you can measure that improvement day by day. I would recommend this app to anybody considering going sober, honestly is so worth the first few days struggle with your emotions. Kindest regards paul.
