I love this app, I've been using it for years. But since the last update I have repeated crashes on iPad. This usually happens when tapping a kanji/word to read more information on it, or when completing reviews. I've tried updating my device, uninstalling and reinstalling the app etc. But no luck. iPhone app is perfect and doesn't crash at all.

Currently level 56, I’ve been using this app for the better part of a year, using this app way more than the website version due to its high portability factor. This app is fantastic and I do highly recommend it. However one thing I would like changed is for the dev to add sections under a kanji’s readings for 訓読み and 音読み to separate them like they do on the website. This would help a lot cuz I keep having to go to a dictionary to check if the primary reading wk gave me is the kun or onyomi. Overall, this app is a must use!

This is a brilliant app that has made it possible for me to actually stick to Wanikani - the fact that I can chip away at my reviews during the day rather than feeling like I need to sit down and log-in is a game changer. It works really well, has lots of quality of life things I didn’t realise I was missing from the website and just works. Thank you!

I use this with Apple Pencil so I can practice writing kana while recalling the readings. One suggestion, it would be really helpful to have a stronger visual indicator of whether the current question is for Reading or Meaning. Often I will write out the kana answer only to spot afterwards that an English meaning was expected. This may be more likely to happen on iPad where there’s more screen real estate and a larger distance to the bottom of the screen, which is where the Reading/Meaning indicator shows up. Currently it uses a black vs white background to indicate reading vs meaning. Could that be updated to other colours? That would make it easier to differentiate in my peripheral vision.

This is already such a game changer - I was using wanikani via the website on safari and it was so clunky that it was putting me off. Now I’m getting hourly notifications (optional!) every time I have a new review and it takes me about 3 minutes each time. The UI is gorgeous and the app runs smoothly. Seriously good!

Great app. Love using it. Posting so the developer will see that since this morning the lessons have started crashing (possibly because of the new Kana only words that were added by wanikani)

It makes Wanikani immensely more fun and enjoyable. It really is the ideal companion app.

This app is amazing and makes doing WaniKani fun, efficient and easy. I especially like that I don’t have to type everything out and can use the “Anki” feature. Many thanks to the developer(s) for creating this and even making it free.
