Easy to use, but powerful.
This is, by far, the most powerful app of its kind for the iPad. Versatile. Capable of extraordinary effects. Though it's learning curve is a little steep, mastering this true 3D artists' tool is well worth the effort. If you just like stacking blocks, or you are determined to render a human face down to the pores in its virtual skin, this app is amazing. The degree to which you achieve realistic renderings is limited only by your imagination.
I love verto studio but the updates are really slow wish the updates would be more frequent.
Excellent for making models on the go and quick renders with interesting shaders. Best part is the ability to import and export models - a feature that is lacking in most 3D modelling apps without forcing you to pay for ridiculous subscriptions. Only thing I would want is to import/export models from Dropbox or another cloud service without going through iTunes or email. Support is fast and friendly! Well worth the price.
I have been waiting for a product like Verto Studio Pro since I got my first iPad. My own skills are not at the level where I utilize every feature, but I am often impressed by the things it can do -even for a noob like me!- Pros: FAST. The app will pan around and display models in real time. .OBJ files are imported without incident (once I switched to a SketchUp script that properly exported files) where other apps just force close. The texturing engine is limited, but entirely functionals. Cons: The UI needs to be polished, there is some confusion on my end as to where every tool resides and how to use them, but these are my problems and do not detract from the quality of the app. Updates have been scarce since last August. But maybe somethings in the pipe? Needs a basic Ray-Tracing engine, or something similar. I would buy an add on module (even if it was an addition 20 dollars) that included shadows, transparency, glows, diffusion, refraction and reflection WITHOUT hesitation. This is a pipe dream maybe, but that is what I'm waiting for; totally mobile 3D content creation and my dollars (and 5 stars) will go to the developer that makes it happen. I believe in your Mr.Farrell. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!
Awesome, perfect for building base meshes on the go. It isn't 100% perfect yet, but after a few more updates like a cut tool to make edge loops and this app will be godlike!
So far the best 3D Manipulation app on the iPad yet. However, the vertices need tweaking to a more user friendly size. The menu needs to stay the same when turning the iPad for Comfort of use. Normal Mapping is a crucial part, especially when using a platform such as the iPad, I have not seen any of such pertaining to this option or it is hard to find within the app. Also the selection methods are very glitchy and there are no precision ways of using these options so you will be stuck for an hour just trying to get the small group of vertices you need. Also the swipe selection tool does not register your selections in some cases. On a positive note if you get past all of this it is quite the useful tool and quite powerful too, it is well worth the purchase it just has it's issues as with all new software.
Supported the import of other formats (3DS, SKP, etc). This would be a killer app.
I'm hooked on this app. I use it almost more than any other app. I Just like doodling ideas and structures and shapes and changing lighting. This is the best 3d app I've tried out there. With how awesome it is it leaves a couple more of things to be desired. I wish like in sketchup you could create scenes so you could export video. I also wish the rendering potential could be higher than 1024x768. I first bought this on iPhone and did my best to refrain from buying the iPad version which was about $10-11 more. But it was worth it. You can import pictures as terrains and watch a photograph become an odd landscape. It really is so intuitive and easy to use. I'm literally addicted. I hope if this is developed further it could support higher resolution rendering and possibly video export. And if that can't be done then some way to import into sketchup without requiring the obj plugin for importing, as the imports leave a bit to be desired too. But overall this app is totally worth the money. Awesome job!
This is a truly amazing app. So much power packed into so few controls. Unfortunately, as a serious modeling application it is of no use without a snap to grid feature. Hope that is coming very soon.
