Vivaldi Powerful Web Browser

Love the amount of customization that you can do. Also the constant updates make it just better every time. Highly Recommended.

I’m usually careful and never update any browser app right away, but I have never had Vivaldi delete my tabs, so I went ahead and did it. Well the latest update (6.7.3335 – May 2) wiped out all the tabs I have collected since I started using Vivaldi – 200+! Seriously? Is there no testing done? I would think that the one thing that should be tested for is whether or not an update will delete people’s tabs. Ugh! Another thing – the speed dial thumbs are now too big even though the settings even though the small view is still selected as my preference. This however is not critical: my tabs on the other hand were.

Best in Class browser. Ad blocking, Fast, smooth, quick controls. Better than the others. Great tab control. Choose a theme, custom colors and icon. What's not to like?

Everything is on the title. I updated to the version 6.7 and when I opened Vivaldi again, all my current opened tabs were all gone, and only 2 new tabs was there, one on a speed dial page, the other was about what's new in Vivaldi 6.7.... seriously guys....

I absolutely love Vivaldi! It is hands down, the best universally supported browser. I am a Mac & iOS user, and I would always switch between safari and chrome. I would use chrome only due to the vastly superior extension support, passwords, search history, bookmarks, and website compatibility. I would use Safari for streaming videos online such as Netflix due to the higher quality. But would use Chrome for everything else. I stumbled upon Vivaldi while searching for Chromium based browsers, and it is the best browser I’ve used thus far. I’ve been using it as my main browser on my Mac, and downloaded the mobile version on my iPhone! It has ad blocking, tracker blocking, and provides both the security and peace of mind that Chrome lacks, but brings the best features of chrome-based browsers; speed, second to none extension support, minimalist design, and of course syncing with your google account! I highly recommend Vivaldi to anyone!

I loved the functionality of this browser on my iPhone. But it has been randomly shutting itself off over and over again the last two days I don’t know whether this is an update to the app or another update that has caused this issue, but it is beyond frustrating. I am not sure how best to get this to the development team so this is where it is being left.

Right now on iOS, you can go with door #1, where the browser’s integration is all that matters, with the convenient side effect of stifling competition by forcing WebKit and disallowing extensions. Door #2 wants to gobble up all of your information and make as much money off of it as possible. Most of the rest of the doors are inconsequential, essentially offering nothing noteworthy and a bunch of ads. Oh, there’s one that values your privacy…but LOVES cryptocurrency. Enter Vivaldi. Somehow, ads are blocked and websites remain unbroken. Fantastic. They value your privacy as well. Sign me up. They offer syncing and very feature rich browsing experiences on desktop (including Linux). This browser is a fantastic choice. It can be an even better choice if you write your representatives and demand the freedom of choice that Europe now enjoys on iOS. Bottom line: this browser deserves your attention.

no option to clear browsing data on exit. It takes like four clicks to close all tabs. Closing tabs and clearing data is two separate processes when it should be one.

I have been using the Vivaldi browser on desktop on and off since like 2017, I have absolutely been adoring the changes in the last year or so. After I made the decision to switch from Firefox to Vivaldi about a year ago, I’ve been non stop recommending to my friends and family. I showed the tab stacking feature to my dad (this was before all other browsers took notice), and he really liked it. I also love the way Vivaldi does tab stacking. If you are looking for a new browser to switch to, or just wanna try something different, you’ve come to the right place, this browser is the best I’ve ever used.
