VOX Reviews

Working stable at last

Forkintheass on

Owning the app for 5+ years and they finally fixed issue when uploaded tracks disappearing randomly. A nightmare: you upload the tracks, they are found, played and then at some point disappeared. Re-coding tracks, re-naming files — everything was in vain with the indexing engine. The issue persisted for years which made the app unusable and now it’s finally gone. Now VOX is awesome! Okay my only problem remaining is at seems app consumes a lot more of battery even when playing mp3, than streamers.

Stops playing after two songs

roman.filus on

Really like the app but my playback always stops after two songs/files and jumps two songs ahead and I have to go back manually and press play again. This is really annoying when listening to audiobooks

No features at all unless you purchase premium! Disappointing because it’s not cheap.

after updating iOS can’t use VOx for flac files, prompts AppStore purchase of other lossless decoder, however wav is still ok over airdrop

Equaliser doesn't work

Saju Divakaran on

I loved the OS X version of the player so went ahead and bought the iOS one as I wasn't happy with the vanilla Apple Music player. The player looks cool however the equaliser doesn't make any difference to the way player sounds All the presets sound same I had high hopes but I am disappointed

Great sounding player

Much better than the iTunes Player! Can put your iTunes library into the Vox player and the music files sound much better. The loop gives the opportunity to play hi res files. Great eq and certainly improves the sound of your music!

Disappointing

raonav on

I'm a big fan of Vox on OS X but unlike its bigger brother, this iOS version is less stable. Visually it's gorgeous but the constant crashing gets in the way of any enjoyability. Hopefully updates will fix these problems.
