VOX Reviews

Sync issues

loānnēs on

United Kingdom

Long time user, the app especially with a premium account that provides cloud storage and cross-device syncing is very useful. However it often has different syncing issues. Recently synced playlists created on desktop VOX Universal (Windows 10) fails to sync correctly on the app. All the songs in different playlists appear on the app one playlist, while all other playlists show no available tracks.

Great app but

Guys, could you please add cover album of my choice in settings. I'm making music and can't add cover album. Thanks

Returns exactly what you put in.

This is a sleek, simple app which is best used as a tool for managing music. It very easily accepts whole albums through iTunes and instantly organises them into name, artist, and includes artist profiles to see all the music you have from one, which personally makes importing music very convenient. The main drawbacks are quality of life things. For example, it would be nice to be able to edit information on an album. This would be particularly useful for collab albums which you’d rather see under one artists name, rather than a whole separate profile. Similarly, being able to assign your songs tags would help out in organisation. Namely, you could filter out all your music by certain genres, time periods, artists, etc for a very quick and convenient way of choosing music from your playlists. Another feature that I’d like to see is some small improvements to the UI. Though overall it is very clean, things like adding songs to a playlist (or ‘collection’) could do with fewer clicks, along with adding music to queue- perhaps like Spotify with one swipe.

Ukraine propaganda

Stop pushing Ukraine propaganda. Nobody knows what is going on there in reality. Only governments do know the true not you peasants. Why would I want to open my phone and see your app with Ukraines flag on my screen. Ridiculous. Deleted this useless app.

Subscription rip-off

fwf-scot on

Update 2-Mar: After getting a response from the developer I checked the app and saw that the subscription is now working. Guess it takes a while before it is applied. It’s working now, so two more stars. The basic app is good but I still don’t understand why an equalizer has to be paid for (and £45 a year for that feature is to expensive as i don’t need any of the other stuff coming with a subscription). Initial review: Just bought a monthly subscription to evaluate. The money is taken, Apple and Vox show the subscription as active but I can’t access the features. Feels like a scam. The player otherwise is ok, but why do I need a subscription to get an equaliser. Needless to say, subscription is cancelled.

I have not been able to sign into Vox Premium for a long time!

Bentley Robinson Dec 21, 2023, 17:27 GMT+2 I have attempted to get this resolved, but I have had no response from the developer. I have tried the contact link twice before and I sent another a few minutes ago, now I am trying one more time. I have a subscription through the Apple App Store, I have had it for some time. My Apple ID is:*** However, I have never got this subscription which I pay for monthly at £4.49 to work, I just can’t sign in on my Mac, nor my iPhone, nor my iPad. It keeps asking me to pay for Vox Premium (which I am already paying for!) Please can someone resolve this. It must be some sort of login issue or conflict with the original login years ago. Pleas can you sort this out now. Over the years I have paid a lot of money out and have had very little use of it. Best wishes, Bentley

Why?

This app was good then yesterday it popped up a prompt asking me to set my cookie preferences. It was more complex that the MS Windows privacy settings, so I deleted it. Making it that difficult to switch off all cookies and trackers is just rude

Why does offline music get deleted after a week?

BroodBrother on

United Kingdom

I’ve been using Vox for five years. Great app, but a bug was introduced around a year ago whereby any tracks downloaded for offline listening are deleted after a week or so. I’ve raised numerous help tickets about this to no avail. I wish someone would fix it!

Imported music cannot be exported

hhshcjwhciegxgwkehdhxh on

United Kingdom

Why is it that the music uploaded from files cannot be extracted from the app? Is there a reason for this? It makes perfect sense for the music from other services to not be extractable, but it makes no sense for the app to just swallow imported files. If there is no reason for this then could you please address the issue? Thank you
