Afterlight charges you once and has far more options and tools! It would be great if vsco could follow that. Just saying 💛✨
I have supported VSCO for nearly ten years. The state of the app is horrendous. It frequently crashes, saving doesn’t work, it doesn’t show my library properly. What a mess. Officially looking for alternatives.
I’ve used this app a lot in the past, I started using it again but its so laggy and full of bugs that makes it impossible to use and enjoy, I’m glad I only paid the pro membership for a month.
VSCO has been my absolute favourite photo editing app. I’ve been using it since the beginning and I’ve paid for it for years. But the price increase is madness. I won’t be renewing this month.
I’ve only just noticed the STEEP increase in subscription cost- this is very sneaky and greedy. As someone who has been paying $27 or so for the last few years (which is already very expensive just to access basic features on a photo editing app) $55 p/a is beyond the pale. Subscription models are already bad, but this is really greedy. UPDATE: I see that the price has now increased to $99.90 p/a, for a “pro membership” and so I am now locked out of features that I **already have an existing, paid membership for**. Looking at the other reviews, it seems obvious that there is a really huge knowledge gap in what the app developers think their users want. This is honestly pretty greedy and disappointing. Please reconsider this pricing model.
Please fixing this app asap, I did paid for it and it won’t let me to editing!!! I paid for it!!
I have been a VSCO subscriber from the days of their Lightroom plugins (R.I.P) and now use the mobile app almost exclusively. Other reviews call out some of the changes that have made the app worse—no separate album in your phone with VSCO edits, edited photos no longer added to the end of your camera roll, and edits save over the existing copy when pasting and saving edits. Now, the final kicker is that the edit tools have disappeared from the edit window (the tool bar appears blank) and the official response from VSCO support is that “they don’t know when or if this problem will be fixed.” The error continues even after deleting and reinstalling the app. The app is now unusable unless you want to guess the placement of the tools in the blank toolbar. Really sad to write this as I’ve been a supporter for a long time, but it seems VSCO isn’t reliable anymore.
It’s getting worst than before. I got all the filters, now I don’t find them on my list it’s hard to see which one. Sorry. It’s definitely worse. Greedy. I paid like $100 for it. Enjoying my money.
I’ve really loved this app over the years. Rated it really highly and enjoyed the quality of edits I could make on my phone. Just came to say I’m disappointed to see various features slowly making their way into the ‘subscription only’ category. It’s no fun opening up my saved edits only to find they are no longer achievable without a sub. I payed for filters over the years and everything, what a let down.
