Images from photo library don’t appear

So buggy I had to cancel trial immediately. Can’t see my photos to edit them even though it says they’re selected

How to ruin a great app

Sargasso fondly on

This was always my favourite photo editing app. The filters and UI were so much better than any others, I even didn’t mind paying for extra features. They’ve gradually stripped away the free features, bloated the app with confusing and unnecessary layout, and complicated what used to be a very simple process - edit, save. They clearly just want to squeeze users for money but they’ve just ruined the whole app in the process. Such a shame.

Love it

This is literally the best app I’ve ever used for photo editing/enhancing and I have used over 20. The colour balancing works perfectly and it’s so easy to use. However, the ai for removing imperfections in pictures could still use some work.

Excellent editor, just can’t handle the workflow

The apps itself is fantastic but will continue to keep crashing and freezing as it simply cannot cope with more than a certain number of RAW files, meaning I can no longer access the old files in the apps (only via a folder in the Photos app).

Stability & functionality have kept declining

I’ve used VSCO for years and over the last 1-2 years I’ve noticed tons of bugs and compatibility issues which don’t seem to ever get fixed. Seems they’ve prioritised being a social media app and pivoted resources there vs. being a stable photo editing app. Adding photos from iOS Photos is a horrible experience since scrolling often selects more items erroneously. Opening a photo requires each item to be loaded. When I selected a bunch of photos from my “drafts” (again it’s not a draft there’s no “final” version) to export them, the export feature breaks after a couple photos and only 3 would export out of 50. Then I managed to export my entire library and it saved all without time & location data. Then I saved it via using the Share tool and clicking save images to Photos. Every time you edit a photo and return to the library in VSCO you have to confirm you would like to “save changes”. Again not sure why else anyone else is using this app so maybe stop bothering us with so many prompts and confirmations and just remove all this unnecessary hurdle and stabilise the app.

Key features no longer free after update

JAYEKS on

United Kingdom

I loved this app but when I updated recently I was locked out, then after resetting my password I logged in and a bunch of the features I have used for years are suddenly no longer free. I can’t even go back to old photos where I’ve used these features without having to sign up and pay subscription, Very disappointing, and off putting. I will have to find an alternative

I miss the old VSCO
