Peace of mind

This app truly brought a sense of relief to my family during the Southfork Fire. To be able to see almost exactly where the line was and receive the updates and concerns in the area every few hours was unbelievable. I feel like this app helped to connect the community in a way that people didn’t expect. It also brought my 85 year old grandma a sense of relief and hope as our family vacation home of over 30 years was within a few feet of the flames. We lost my Grandpa last year and Ruidoso was one of his favorite places to be! My Grandma felt she was about to lose a part of him all over again. My heart aches for the family’s affected and those that lost their everything and even their lives. We count our blessings everyday and continue to keep those more severely affected in our thoughts. Strength be with those this has touched.

Need way to hide photos from map layer

No way to disable photos from map layer, they’re incredibly large once you click on a fire and poor UI. Definitely add the option to hide the icons from the map!

Apple Watch version needed

I am from Riverside County. In the hills my home is top rated for fire. I had to take Ca Fair plan for insurance. I want this app o my Apple Watch.! I don’t always carry my phone.

I live in a high risk area for fires in Oregon. I used to worry ever time a fire started because I had no information about where it was and who it effected. Now I get updates on all the fires in my area and if an evacuation is in place for my area. I usually will not pay for an app, but this service is so essential, I believe it is my obligation to donate and keep this great service operational. Thank you for everyone’s effort who keep this site running. It could literally be a matter of life or death.

So very helpful during the recent South Fork and Salt fires in N.M. More accurate and informative than the news reports from a distant Albuquerque. Family members in the area with limited communications but this app was a great resource. Many thanks.

I’ve found this app incredibly useful and well-designed. I highly recommend it for anyone who lives or spends time in areas prone to fires. It’s a basic fire safety tool in very glad to have.
