The only shopping app I have kept downloaded, I love having the ability to create multiple wish list and being able to read reviews from customers and booksellers alike.
Great selection of material and easy to find the item I want postage is reasonable if the free amount isnt reached and delivery notifications work fine I’ll be back
Love the app, easy to use and place orders. Sometimes books don’t appear in lists, so have to search individual Authors. I guess that’s a filter issue. Also I have pre ordered books many times and been frustrated to see a signed issue has been released after my order, but I haven’t been offered an upgrade and therefore missed out on the signed copies. I receive emails with details of new books which is great, but it would be even better if I could have a directory/ wish list of the authors I read and when any news books are coming from those authors I would be notified/emailed? At the moment I’m on lots of different platforms trying to not miss any new books. I hope this makes sense
I use this app all the time, I enjoy creating shopping bags with loads of books in that I -inevitably- have to slim down to buy, but still is fun. I use it in conjunction with Goodreads for ideas and I enjoy that process. Thank you Waterstones I am a loyal customer for life.
Decent app, but a little slow. Also, there is no dark mode, which is a standard feature for apps nowadays.
It’s great but it would be better if we could edit our order instead of having to cancel and re order all over again
In general I like the Waterstones app. It's fairly user friendly and gives more access to stock. The write ups and reviews are helpful. I would suggest that being able to see a few taster pages would be helpful - either to be able to read the first couple of pages of a book or see and sample pages of a "coffee table" book, recipes book etc the way you can in a store would really enhance the app and entice people into buying/ help with choosing.
Great app, easy to use. Nothing will ever beat the experience of actually being in the shop, but it’s easier than facing the bank holiday crowds.
The app is very good for book browsing and purchasing, but is not quite so useful for looking at purchase history and knowing what books you’ve purchased. It’d be excellent if it was easier and smoother to scroll through previous orders, or if some script could appear on a book to denote that you’ve already purchased it. Also the option is still visible, although eternally unavailable, to order to store like the pre-COVID times - please bring this option back!
