Worst banking app in New Zealand. I've used both the ASB and BNZ apps, which are much more advanced and offer more freedom for users. I used BNZ for the last six years and never had to call them to change the account on my card.

Could be better

MariaCon on

Can your app support actually go somewhere? I click on it to hopefully divert to an area where I can report the app now working but it gives me a list of stuff that is not relevant, what a pain. Another thing I’ve suggested but it hasn’t been activated yet you can do it with other banks, is clicking on a payee and seeing your most recent payments to them. Anyhoo, app could be better and there’s a fault right now

Constant long term and ongoing login issues

Capz75 on

New Zealand

This app would be great if it didn’t have an ongoing bug for iOS users, that sees it regularly deny access to it. Continual long term login issues makes it very unreliable and frustrating to use. Wish this would be rectified as it has been an issue for roughly a year now and am tired of uninstalling and reinstalling or having to try and go through a web browser to access my online banking (which has started playing up also).

Authentication Issues

caigwatkin on

New Zealand

I've generally found the app to work well, but authentication issues have been making it unusable. One of the main benefits of using the app over using the website should be that I can quickly and easily sign in: this is not the case. I'm constantly met with errors the majority of the times I attempt to sign in using both touch ID and PIN. I've contacted support before, with the only advice being to fully reinstall the app and clear browsing data in Safari which temporarily fixes the issue but then it comes back with a vengeance. At this stage, it has been almost a week where I've not been able to successfully authenticate a single time despite trying multiple times a day. I cannot use this app if I have to reinstall it every couple of weeks just to be able to sign in.

Sort your app out

Sishshsbsihdbfjsbs on

I’m stuck out in the cold because your app wont work and I can’t transfer funds for an uber or lime scooter. Sort it out asap. This is so unprofessional. I’ll be changing banks if this keeps happening.

Could use improving but what they do have is good.

What they have on the app works good. I love the quick transfer and use it several times a day but,.. Wish they’d give colour options though as I’m not fond of the colour or styling. (ANZ app is much nicer, very sleek looking). Pls allow us to colour & customise, on the inside and outside of the app. There is also an issue with the pic at the top, it zooms right in so you can’t put a nice pic up (a pic of a cat will just show it’s eye for eg) the sample pics they have there are also very gloomy. anz has way more banking options on their app but still really well laid out & easy to use. pls take some pointers. For new users make sure you log out of the app every time or you’ll get “issues”. And also the constant pop up at the bottom of the screen about the helicopter is very annoying!!! I am sorry I can’t afford to donate, pls remove it from my app it’s just aggravating and I’m constantly. clicking on the x to get rid of it. EDIT: best bank worst app aesthetically. am considering my banking options as style and comfort are important to me. UPDATE: 21 may 2024 can’t get into the app Half the time so very annoying will be shifting my money out at the end of the month have gotten sick of it

Great integration with Apple and their services

Flyer sue on

New Zealand

Fantastic integration allowing me to quickly replace my stolen credit card and connect my Apple Pay to the new credit card before it has even been dispatched. This was great, especially because I was away during Travel and was not able to receive my card immediately

Consistently the worst banking app I’ve ever used.

Hekf11 on

New Zealand

This app regularly shows me incorrect balances for my accounts on the quick view. It often will not allow me to login for no reason. Extremely disappointing.

Dark Mode?

Gavineez on

New Zealand

Surprised this app doesn’t have a dark mode feature or toggle? I would think it’s simple enough to add in like the other banks have done. Would help at night since the white background is so prominently used everywhere in the app.

So easy
