WMR: Train Tickets & Times

Admittedly I use the app quite frequently but I do find it easy and quick to use.

My own experience is excellent. Booking trains is seamless and ticket delivery is instantaneous.

Simple and easy

Registration worked first time no drama, train found, paid with Apple Pay. Rare treat seeing something work first time.

So far the app works well. Seamlessly in fact. I don’t ask it to do a lot, but it does what I ask.

Allows for purchase of tickets easily, and with no extra transaction fees (e.g those charged by apps like trainline)

So easy put the tickets in my wallet an they pop up on the day👍

I don’t know what your update has done to the app, but three times this morning I’ve tried to use ApplePay and PayPal to pay for my ticket and three times I’ve received an “Oops, there’s a problem” message. Now I have to go to a ticket office to pay for the ticket. I’m just hoping it’s actually open when I get there. Please fix it.

When I compare to other apps, it is years behind. For example, a train gets cancelled and I bought the tickets through the app, there is absolutely no notification. Even when you search for the train it is difficult to figure out it has been cancelled. Not to mention that the other apps in case of cancellation or delays apply for the compensation automatically, but with this app you have to do manually. Only good thing is that you buy tickets in advance without fees.

Been using this app (and it’s predecessor) for years. Does the job regarding live trains, so I can monitor where they are on the journey too. Now I use the flexi season option, where you can buy 8 tickets in a bundle at a slightly lower price. Really handy as I go in the office (at least) twice a week. Just remember you have to use them within the month.
