Paid and downloaded but can’t access on iPhone

Pixie One on

I am really struggling with this app. It will not let me open an account that I have paid for. I paid for it on my iPad but I still should be able to log in on phone.

This app has never worked well for me on self-hosted instances

Pacific Dragon on

On a shared host environment under Stablehost, Login will sometimes fail (saying it can’t find the server) trying again once or twice, you will be able to get in. Once in, it takes extraordinarily long to populate the posts pane often never populating at all. Better just to fire up a web browser and get into the dashboard directly via the Web interface. With an WP instance hosted on a Digital Ocean droplet. This app had performed more fluidly, the posts would populate a lot more quickly in the App, however, often random posts that you knew are there were missing from the posts listing. Editing a post, you will find that you’re more limited in functionality than what you get with the Web Interface (e.g Can’t surpress posts from the front page - served by a plugin). Again, eventually got rid of the app and simply fired up the browser to manage the WP installation instead. Trying again today, and attempting to login to another WP instance on Digital Ocean, the App complains about XML-RPC methods missing. Googling will give you a variety of answers, often not relevant to one’s situation consuming a lot of time. After some time wasting, have just given up. Some real issues with how user hostile this app is with regards to Self Hosted instances.

Wordpress

BifMas on

This app is awful, for such a dominant brand in blogging I would expect more. It crashes constantly, doesn’t support the format that the Wordpress site now operates on automatically and Ive lost multiple posts to its inability to save a draft when every other website on my phone is updating with internet connectivity. Just a pain, I wouldn’t bother again.

Awesome!

Bellanine on

After the last update it rarely crashes on my phone with using it on Apple. I first used the wordpress free blogging option and then switched to my own website through wordpress. I just love it how easy and simple it is and how not expensive it is either. It’s affordable for me at the moment with a plan and my website host name that I bought. I absolutely love blogging! I can’t believe I haven’t founded this wonderful website earlier! Thank you to all the programmers and hard working people behind wordpress! You make it a joy to blog!

Not much use

Reike and Ace on

Deleted and reinstalled twice. Now deleted again. Like the desktop version. Too difficult to use on phone. Please make it simple to amend pages.

Crashes the Admin Dashboard

Ironbeardnz on

Trying to login to the Wordpress installation on my personal website with this App will crash the Admin Dashboard of my website. I won’t be able to log on using either this app or a web browser for a period, could be the web hosting firewall seeing something and imposing a lock out. Since removed the App and log on using Safari browser without problems.

I’ve only started using it, and I’m loving it already

choicejohnny on

So far it has been great to use. Easy and manageable.

I was happy with Word Press

Batmans Robin on

But since the last upgrade I can’t start the application any more. I’ve tried reinstalling and logging in again, but no joy. Crashes every time on starting. :-(
