Never Actually Works

Meg Sproat on

South Africa

I love this app idea in theory but whenever I try to use it it never updates to display my latest content or drafts. Have tried to use it multiple times and just end up writing my blog posts in my mail and pasting it into wordpress via desktop. Unfortunately, have deleted this now. Nice layout, easy to use - easy if you want to use it without your latest content reflecting in the app.

So I have started with my blog, and since am new, Am not sure if I can’t use the portal correctly. People have been asking me how do they comment and like the posts besides them actually opening an account.

Frustrating Apple App

Arendjie on

South Africa

I am so frustrated with the Apple app. Wordpress wants all of us to move to the block editor, but it works for a while and then it gives tremendous problems. I think it happens after updates. Which put the problem on the sjoulders of the developers. Current problem: When I click on the + to add a block, it is almost white. I cannot choose anything. If that is not enough, I have to close the blog I am writing as soon as I make one change. It does not want to work, it hangs. If you can’t handle Apple, please do not force us to move to the stupid, frustrating, horrible block editor. Why on earth do you want to force us to use an editor that does nor work? 😳😳😳 I get from the app developers the following: 1) You have downloaded the wrong version of WP. Yes? Then please upload the new version in APPSTORE. If I click on their link, it brings me to this app, thus they did not upload the new version here?

Decent

Not a bad app. Can easily check stats and respond to comments or read content on the go which is nice. However, for actually creating content, especially if you are making use of plugins such as Yoast, I’d stick to the browser version. I had some issues with uploading media and updating drafts failing on the app as well.

Camera uploads

I downloaded the app specially to add pics directly from phone camera to my media library. Disappointed to find that it will only take original sized pics which are way too large. I can however use the browser on my phone which then gives me the option of various pic sizes so I can directly add them without going via my pc. Love to do this on the app though.

10 years using Wordpress.

It would be nice if there was a chart panel to make it easier to engage those who subscribe to the blog or site
