I have been using this app for years and always has been of great help. Really easy to use, phonetics included (which I find particularly interesting) and translation of the different meanings in context and with examples. The group forums are also great 😊

Good grief what have you done? You've taken half of the screen real estate and wasted it completely. I'm on an iPhone 5 - I imagine anyone still stuck with a 4S can't even see the actual dictionary any more.. And the expanding header when scrolling is jarring. Worst UX ever done on this otherwise incredibly useful app. Please reconsider or at least let us pay to remove that forsaken ad banner!!!

Thank you for the update but the new versionkeeps crashing and needs to be fixed ASAP. I love word reference but it is so frustrating to use it like this. Should have just left it as it was before, albeit difficult to navigate.

I’ve been using this app for years and it is my go-to for translations. One complaint though. If I want to “star” a word, it’s hard to tell if it’s starred or not because when you hit the star, it turns yellow and is barely discernible. Could you please make it red or something more distinct? Thank you!

I have used this app for many years. Accurate, thorough, multiple definitions. It’s VERY handy.

Nice app. If they added Hebrew it would be above nice! Also, I would pay to remove the ads at the bottom. Wish there was a paid/ad free version.

This app is LOADED with information. It is an English dictionary in its own right, along with translations, including parts of speech and pronunciation, both written symbolically as well as recorded for playback out loud. Furthermore, it has synonyms and complete conjugations of verbs in the selected language (very useful in French!). My favorite part is the sample sentences in both English and the foreign language, to demonstrate the various senses of a word. I can’t recommend this app enough for the “word nerd“.
