Been playing XCOM since the beginning. This version is just as good as Xbox, but on my iPad! Awesome
I lost two campaigns due to bugs. Unfortunately this is not the way to play XCOM
Self explanatory
Look and feel like the pc version. It is extremely well done and I’m not saying this as a huge Xcom fan of yesteryear. Don’t even think twice - this is really that good. Thanks to the dev team
One of the best strategy games created for the iPad. Detailed story, intricate strategy, and very replayable.
I love XCOM 2, maybe too much. So I bought the mobile version to feed that addiction and this is a great mobile port. Some missions related to the dlcs are missing though despite this version having all dlcs. The real problem though is the screen runoff for phone 11 and newer phones. I’m on iPhone 11 and the screen runoff removes 3/4 of the buttons you would press to control your troops. Making it hard at times to understand your options, misclicks since your threshold is 25% of what it’s supposed to be and just generally being hard to deliver the exact order you want, having to click the button multiple times. Apple doesn’t do anything about screen run off even though this is a problem apple made, the developers are expected to fix this, and they should have long ago because this makes XCOM 2 harder to play on this platform, getting in the way of what is a good experience, but a critical flaw
I really enjoyed XCOM and its expansions, but XCOM 2 is just painful to play. The interface isn’t clear, especially in the beginning, and maybe it’s just me(w), but when I’m one or two days from completing something on the world map and then some event pops up, I feel that I *need* to accept that mission immediately… the go *back* to wherever I was doing something before after the lengthy engagement. Speaking of which, I’m not looking for a stressful gaming experience as I play this on my iPad from time to time, and this game is totally unforgiving even on the easiest difficulty. You kind of have to ‘save scum’ to go back when one of your last-to-move soldiers ‘reveals’ an enemy ‘pod’, and the load times are kinda long considering what users have become used to.
Good job, commander🫡
Playing on a 9th gen. Really good port to iOS touch screen. Very convenient to play on a tablet or even phone. Crashes regularly though losing all the last actions plated. Tedious to reload last checkpoint and redo actions. Playable but annoying. Will never be fixed. Be aware before you buy.
