The app is great! Ran into some problems and support was extremely helpful and fast! You’ll never find any service like this!
Actually surprised there is no epub support. Modern day epub is so popular yet lacks such feature. Hope dev can add it. I’ve seen people requesting it since 11 years ago.
Everything you need in a comic reader, perfectly done. 100% the best comic reader there is. I need no other.
I want to import my comics from my iPad into the reader, but they import straight in without going into my designated folders, then I have to move them manually by hand which takes forever! Please could we have the option to import into folders?
No cons at all. Easy to import and so easy to view comics - and to delete them. Really has enriched my comic experience!
Thr best comic reader
Compared to the free comic book readers I used I can say this is well worth the price, I honestly think that a one off purchase with regular updates and a good feedback system is well worth it in this app
Updated review (that is now *****) to my updated review: I am now in comics heaven having finally managed to get YACReader on my iPad to do what I wanted it to do - connect wirelessly to my iMac and RAID server and see all of the comics stored there and then read them as I wish without ever having to download them onto my iPad. Brilliant. However, without some feedback from the app developer, Luis Ángel San Martín, I would still be clueless and in the dark, but you know what, the guy sent me two separate replies to my reviews offering help and once I realised that there was something in the MacOS DMG called YACReaderLibrary (that I had overlooked when installing YACReader on my Mac) it was plain sailing. Point the server at my library, connect the app on the iPad to the server and bingo - I am one happy comic reader. ========== Updated review - four stars ... My original review (which I have now removed) was one star - I have now modified it to four stars mainly because after a day of trying different things I finally have managed to import my comics into the app. Once that was done the app works fine. How did I get my comics into the app? iMac -> physical cable -> iPad and then import via iTunes drag and drop. My hope of reading comics by importing them on demand from the RAID server connected to my iMac on my local network via wi-fi still doesn’t work, so I’ve imported 50G of comics all at once. It might not be the solution I wanted but it is a solution. Also, the developer contacted me through the App Store offering to help. As it turned out I had already found my “solution” so the help was not needed, but it was nice that the offer was made.
2 gripes. On my 11 pro the import tab frequently crashes: it just flashes when you click the 3 lines in the import tab (the button you’d press to select import method) the only cure is a force close of the app Second gripe is lack of split screen support for iPad. I rarely if ever use my iPad Pro 12.9 single app mode—it’s a waste of screen real estate and power. Tbbh I only came to yac as panels can’t seem to keep my place in my comics. That said, I’m sorry but panels is much superior in many ways.
