Aer Lingus

Amazed you can’t look at multi trip on the app. Also very annoying when they reset the tier credits in March/April this year, I lost most of the credits for my concierge status built up from 2023! Excellent staff on business flights

Surprised and disappointed to see Aer Lingus do not have an iPad app. Basic enough requirement for an airline serious about bookings and booking management.

I recommend uninstalling this app. It gives the wrong departure time for flights. In my case, when I arrived at the gate my flight was gone. Aer Lingus support agreed that the app shows the wrong departure time but would not do anything to help so I lost the cost of the flight and hotel. They said I should not have looked at the push notifications appearing on the app but instead should have checked the original booking email! See the hundreds of other reviews here regarding that support team. Anyway, just uninstall it. The app doesn’t work and the team will not help you.

It fails to provide information about boarding gate, so you have to double check airport screen. It has additional screen for flight details, but it does not have gate number!

Every time I open the app there is some urgent update required . It is particularly frustrating when you are abroad and patchy data coverage deserts you. “Urgent!! Please update the app! We can’t do our jobs properly !”

I booked a flight recently through the website, and have tried numerous times over the space of almost 3 weeks to log in to the app, only to keep getting the same error message, I have been in touch with customer support 3 times at this stage, to be given a case number the first time, and have been told each subsequent time that my case is still pending. And on the last time of contact, I am told to just check in at the airport. What is the point in having an app when someone can’t log in, and customer support does not seem interested in helping

It’s seriously annoying that when booking a flight, on the ‘Dates’ input field there’s no indication on the calendar view as to whether there are flights on any specific day and you have to complete your search before you find out. It’s a pointless extra step when half the time the result is “No Flights Available”.

This app update is worse. The transaction flight history doesn’t populate. The app or should I say system forgets to credit me tiers or avios all the time and I have to email which takes weeks!!! The app keeps asking for login even after login if I move around to different parts of the site. AerClub app is even worse. Awful cheap rushed app.

Not sure what it is about multi city booking that confuses the app. All I would like is to add my boarding passes to my phone. What’s so hard about that and why can’t such a simple feature be added?

I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the app interface, there’s an easy and intuitive way to book trips, check flight updates etc., overall, I’m very satisfied with the app
