I use this for work. One issue.
When I utilize the app with Bluetooth headphones, I have to repair my headphones after every one or two calls. It’s really annoying and affects my work flow. I only use my Bluetooth’s when I forget my wire headset at home. Any chance on fixing this issue? Everything else is good.
Don’t bother
This app isn’t worth the money. $170/month for three phone lines and a billing team that tests you badly. Customer service is fairly quick but the number of dropped calls is very, very high. For a billion dollar-funded company I’d rather go with another company who actually tried to win your business. Also when you try to leave you need to submit a “cancellation “ form or else they’ll keep charging, despite requesting the pin and transfer.
Meh
Not great. Not awful either. When it works, it does what it’s supposed to. When there is an update, it doesn’t work well and you’ve got to update it for it to work like it should again. Down side to that is that there’s an update every week. 🤷🏼♂️
Really happy
I’ve been using Aircall for a couple months and it’s been great! Super seamless integration with our salesforce, makes our lives way easier (sales team and I).
Avoid if you can
Easily one of the worst apps I've ever used. It doesn't do what it's supposed to. Can't send or receive calls and the phone calls often drop.
Almost works almost half the time.
40% of my answered calls drop upon answering after a very consistent 3 seconds. The transfer feature randomly becomes inoperative. 50% of our calls go straight to missed call rather than even ringing once.
NEED to be able to send/receive photos
So far Aircall has been okay. We like the reports, Hubspot/Intercom integrations, call recording, SMS etc.
A MAJOR limitation is not being able to send/receive photo messages (MMS). Been asking for this for 3 years now.
Our customers use screenshots to report errors and we send photos for support, and this isn’t possible with Aircall mobile or desktop. I’d give it 4 stars if we could send MMS. But so far this has been an extreme inconvenience pain for us since we use Aircall for our Customer Support line. Devs: I’ve already mentioned this in your feature request page numerous times, so please don’t ask me to put it there again.
Also, occasionally the mobile app crashes or doesn’t call out. Also, our reps in Canada have been having connection issues frequently this month. Not sure why.
Also you can’t search your SMS message history via keyword. Which would be super helpful.
Needs some work
I can see what you’re doing here, but this app could really use some work because most people who use a VoiceApp system or on the go and need to be able to use their mobile device. The text messages are not syncing quickly and I can see the notification on my screen but then I can’t see it inside of my feet. Even after refreshing 2 to 5 times I have to close the app and then open it back up and it’s still not showing then I have to wait for the client to text again so that I can see the notification pop up and hit it from there. There’s definitely some glitches on the mobile app that needs some work. take some cues from Dialpad.
Running a business? Run away from aircall
My company migrated to aircall five months ago when we launched a new CRM. Our mobile numbers were ported to aircall from our existing cell carrier in the hope of better data logging and integration. The entire progress has been painful from start to the end (which is still in progress, more on that later). This company consistently over-promises and under-delivers. Our team of 10 existing numbers were ported over which took approximately two weeks to complete and when the port was finally happening, left us without any ability to talk or text with our clients for a full business day. Once we launched we had paid for their SMS texting service. That took another week to be activated on our account and we lacked the ability to send or receive text messages from our clients despite it showing the option to send texts within the app. The launch of aircall went nothing like their sales staff indicated it would and there was a measurable loss of productivity and business during that time. From the five months of using their service the performance is subpar in every metric I can think of for the intended purpose. Call quality was consistently bad. SMS texting was not consistent and might require a restart of the app to show new messages. Unwanted messages can not be deleted. ZERO support for any variety of multimedia messaging including photos, videos, URLs, audio recordings. If you’re on the go and encounter any change in number of bars you have for cell coverage, that call will be butchered. I was once caught on a half hour conference call that was critical and I was late for my next appointment because I was unable to leave a parking lot for fear of the call dropping or my contributions not being heard. We are now exiting the world of aircall, much to our excitement. This process is another week + long and I’m running into challenges. My carrier has approved the port of the number back to them. Aircall has supposedly processed everything on their end. I’m not stuck in this messed up twilight zone where outbound calls are made from my carrier and inbound phone calls to the same number still go though aircall. After three days of this, I am not able to receive inbound calls from most numbers. When my clients are calling me, they will hear a message that says my number is not available and it will hang up. The saga continues. Do not use this product.
Good but lacks key features
Aircall is pretty good but not great. Its shortcomings are very large. To begin, the interface between the desktop app (Mac OS and Windows, I’ve used both) and the phone is stellar. It works almost exactly how it should. You complete one action on the web and you can see it on your phone right away. I can call and text with a specific number. The things the app does, it does well. But what it does lack is the ability to send/receive photos. I use this for work at a SaaS and my clients are CONSTANTLY sending me screenshots, videos, voice messages and so on. The fact that it’s 2023 and Aircall is still dragging their feet on overcoming this key challenge shows that their product team is out of touch with their users. They just released a new version where you can add tags to your calls and organize them. I don’t know where they thought prioritizing this over sending media messages was a good idea but it wasn’t. What a waste of their programmer’s and product team’s time. As such, my company’s is actively looking for options that support media messages.
