I’ve been using this for years. Just switched over to lifetime unlock. It’s superior in many ways to the stock Apple Music app and is a great discovery tool, in addition to many other interesting features. I use it daily. A wish: to have this on Mac. A suggestion: the interface in the iPad app is a bit confusing when it comes to settings. There are three different setting icons to choose from, and the one for general settings is hard to find if you don’t know where to look. I’m not a designer so I have no solutions, I’m just relaying that I sometimes get confused about what settings are where and for what. Hope: keep the CarPlay integration going. I hope I’m not the only one using Albums in my car.
Love the Home Screen widget! It lives at the top now and lets me easily listen to albums from my library, or skip to the next album. Perfect. One wish: I wish there were a Watch app too! Would love to be able to load some albums (even just randomly selected) to my watch and be able to play from there directly to AirPods. Would add an Albums complication in a heartbeat if there were one. Fingers crossed!
We don’t have landscape mode in the app on iPhone needs a major fix. It’s on iPad, but not on iPhone desperately needs landscape mode everywhere on iPhone on the iPad I get what you did it cause it made sense and that’s why You didn’t do it before with the iPhone, but it’s 2024 on the iPhone desperately needs this with this app please
I’ve always been a full album listener so you can understand how I truly appreciate this app. Another thing I’ve always done even before digital music is rate every song. As you know, you can turn on five star ratings within Apple Music. I know it’s not possible to rate songs through secondary music apps, (because of my experience with other music apps and what developers have told me). However, is there anyway you can still display the song rating in a read only way? I will gladly give you $100 tip through the honor policy. Two ways I want this: 1) when looking at all the songs as you’re open an album: 1. Track One 4* 2. Track two 5* 3. Track three 5* etc And then when playing the album… -Track two playing- ***** Like this :) Thank you very much for considering… and otherwise, this is a perfect app to me!!! :))
I’m FINALLY able to use my music library as I want — by albums. Doing song playlists for classical music is a non starter. One request would be to allow a pause, as selected, of 3/4/5 seconds, between albums. BUT! A really great feature would be for the app to speak the title of the album. Great App!
Exactly what I have always wanted.
For me the Albums app + widget is the best way to surface artists and records from my collection that I have not listened too in far too long. This also helps clean up the library by surfacing some dud albums or ones that did not age well. And this is but one aspect of Albums app. So much more to nerd out about.
The greatest app in the history of space, time, and apps.
I love this app, from the well-designed UI to the way you can personalize everything to the way you want. $20~ a year is a very fair price to pay for Premium as well. It’s so nice to be able to have an app that keeps the album experience firmly in mind, yet feature-rich at the same time. That being said, I have a few little gripes/suggestions for improvement. First, parsing out the settings to each relative section of the app is extremely confusing; it would be much simpler, in my opinion, to take all the settings for the app and place them under one settings section. Second—and maybe this is me just figuring out how to use the app (there are so many cool nifty features!) but I’d like to be able to press the shuffle button and be able to play a single randomly selected album instead of a queue. Regardless of these little things, I cannot recommend the app enough. It’s so nice to keep my music on my phone and tablet in a way that promotes listening and exploration.
