Cant choose seat cant get boarding pass and check in online

Easy to use!

I can’t check in for my returning flight because according to the app I’m “not eligible” to fly to the destination country from where I just arrived recently. Where I live, legally. The app doesn’t make any sense. I’ve never ever used such app that requires me to submit visa documentation to perform a check in. While in my case it’s not a visa, it’s a temporary residence. However, the app doesn’t allow me to submit my temporary residence, hence I’m “not eligible” to fly. Absurd. Also, I got very disappointed by Cathay I’m general, also by the service, so I probably won’t fly with this airline again in the future.

My flight from Viet Nam to Vancouver had a stop in HongKong. Because of the delayed of first flight(airline fault), the second flight from HK to Vancouver has been delayed for 10 hours. The staffs of Cathay Pacific in transit desk just gave us new boarding pass with no any support. Even they tried to cheat us and hide away when we asked for place to rest. It is really rude and irresponsible.

When the apps was updated, the check in function cannot be used and I needed to use website to check in, it is not convenience. I hope it can be improved.
