The official podcast app has great UI and excellent directory & suggestions. Unfortunately it still cannot maintain synced state between multiple devices. It works occasionally and often breaks for whole podcasts or even, randomly, for particular episodes. It’s somewhat embarrassing that this issue has persisted for nearly a decade and Apple simply either ignores it or has failed to fix it.

Very confusing layout, tightly packed and with too many items fighting for your attention. I don’t know where to focus, I’m getting anxious and just quit the app.
